just outside of town, peaceful location

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Friendly
Cons: maybe put families with babies at the end of the hall where we feel like we are not bothering so many other customers
Location: close to Anchorage and Palmer for the fair, lots of family and adult activities around
the room was spacious and the staff were very accomodating

Palmer Alaska Stay

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: WiFi did not work.
Location: State Fair in Palmer was fun to attend.
Our 1st visit to Alaska and it was a hit and miss on our hotels. This one was fine and cost effective. Stayed here to enable a visit to the state fair in Palmer.

Passing thru Wasilla, AK

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: good comfort at a decent price
My family stayed at Alaska's Select Inn Motel on our way from Denali National Park to Kenai, Ak. It was a nice place with a decent price. Decent double queen room with kitchenette. Beds were comfortable. Not a new and fancy place but a good place to stay for 4 adult people. Air conditioner was a little inconvenient as it was behind the curtain which we need to close to keep the light out at night.

Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Update accommodations!
Location: Terrible location!
Hotel was located out of the way without anything close to it! Room was sort of outdated but bed was comfortable. Not really worth the price!

Terrific for an extended stay!

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Location: It's not hard to find, but it's not on the Parks Highway either, and it's small, so book in advance.
We stayed 10 days and this was a perfect hotel for us. It appears to have once been a small apartment building. Consequently the rooms have a full kitchen with a full-size fridge. This allowed us to have our own complete breakfast in the room and most evenings we would have sandwiches late so that meant only 1 meal a day that we needed outside the hotel. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful as well. There is a small laundry facility on the second floor, so we could even do loads of laundry while we were there. If you're looking for the 5-star, Egyptian Cotton towel experience, keep looking--but if you want a good, honest, well-maintained place to stay with nice ameneties, look no further!
