Way too much glade plug-in. About killed me each time I went in. When you check in you sign acknowledgement that if you check out early, you forefitwill not get a refund.

Get what you pay forPosted Sep 17, 2013
As other reviewers have pointed out, the walls are paper-thin, and you'll constantly hear people walking on the creaky staircases. No elevators, so expect to have to lug your luggage up to whatever floor you're on. The rooms were incredibly basic, strictly motel grade. There was also some drunk guy passed out and lying on the landing of the stairwell when we left the room to check out. So not exactly high-security either. If you're just looking for a cheap place to crash at for the night, this might work. Otherwise, it's really worth springing for a little bit more and staying elsewhere.

why haven't I heard of this hotel before?Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: location, cleanliness, breakfast, tea/coffee pot frig and nuker PRICE romantic
Cons: the bed sounds like plastic rubbing against each other so maybe a pillow top or egg carton top under the sheets
Location: Anchorage is at arms reach!
this little hotel was excellent and quiet but the brand new bed sounds like plastic rubbing on plastic when ever I roll over. otherwise its the best little kept secret! great price for summer rates!

Just an OK hotel...Posted Sep 14, 2013

Cons: Please see my comments above.
The hotel check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is an easy walk to the shopping and dining streets, so the location is good. The hotel lobby and room was clean. They accommodated me by giving me a complimentary ride via van to the Anchorage Museum with my luggage so that I could meet my bus to Whittier (the port to get on a cruise). However, the van driver did not assist with my luggage - instead she sat in the van and waited for me to bring it up and down stairs to the van and then I loaded it into the van. I don't think there are any elevators in this hotel - you have to carry your luggage up and down many stairs to get to your room. My room was TINY. There was no space for setting my luggage - it was on the floor blocking the window. There was no desk or chair in the room, so I had to work while sitting on my bed and holding the laptop in my lap. For toiletries, there was only shampoo and bar soap (no conditioner, no lotion). I understand there was a continental breakfast at the hotel, but I did not go to it, so I cannot comment on that. I think the price of this hotel was expensive for what was provided. If in Anchorage again, I would likely search out an alternative hotel to stay at.

Within walking distance of our sightsPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pleasantly surprised. Rooms small but comfortable. interesting birds-eye view of parking lot, but quieter than expected. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included. We were able to easily walk to all our destinations in downtown. Used shuttle to relocate when our cruise began.

great location and servicePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff picked us up from the train station and the hotel was located in walking distance to downtown shopping and sightseeing. It was very clean and provided a very nice continental breakfast.

Anchorage Downtown HotelPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
It's half the cost of the name hotels, but the rooms are half the size. If you want a place to sit or write, use the bed or the toilet.

Nice clean stayPosted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was nice clean and the staff friendly. We got picked up from the airport and the hotel is located down town. The staff was great and worked with me. I did not see a/c was the only draw back.

The pictures are very deceivingPosted Jul 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
I checked in and immediately checked out upon seeing my room. This isn't really a hotel, more like a house that has rooms. The room I was given didn't even have a window that went outside, it merely opened up into the hallway. I also didn't have air conditioning, instead there was an 8" oscillating fan. I was charged $170 for this place and it's not worth $50.night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
