“Great value and location”

Nice hotel suite. Pretty much all downtown hotels are near the train track so you can't really escape the noise of the train. If you are on business and don't like kids, you might be turned off by the kindergarten/grade school on weekdays. Parking is not on premise. It is an open lot at the end of the block. The parking rate is not free but reasonable.

This hotel is an older apartment building that has been redone as a hotel. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice. It is very convenient to walk to shops and restaurants as well as right in front of the Alaska Railroad Depot (which did not keep us from sleeping). Our stay included vouchers for a very good breakfast from a local restaurant (walking distance)-Recommend this hotel highly

“Very Impressed!”

When booking it is always a mystery of what type of hotel it will be! But the Grand Hotel Ancorage lived up to our expectations and I will recommend it to anyone who plans on staying in Ancorage. Also the staff were excellent, a pity we don't have staff like that in Australia!

“Nice Comfortable Hotel”

The hotel - all tho not very deluxe - was very clean, friendly and in a great location. It was nice to have the small, but full, kitchen. It was in good condition, bed was comfortable and the place was clean. It is right above the train station, but there were very few trains and they weren't really noticeable. I would stay there again.

In the heart of downtown and at a short walk from the Train Depot. Very comfortable. I think it is the best relation cost x benefit in Anchorage. A block from Hilton. It has a very good parking lot at the corner of the street and very near from the entrance. The front desk staff are very attentive and kind. The rooms are ample with all facilities, two TVs, two phones, internet, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, dish wash and microwave, in short, a complete kitchen. If you are in family, choose the Queen Bed rooms which have a private room.

It's like staying in a small apartment. Clean and spacious, very courteous. We were very happy with our choice of this hotel.

I have stayed at the Anchorage Grand on four occasions and have decided it will continue to be my destination choice. If you are accustomed to, or think you may enjoy, the graciousness and ambiance of a smaller quainter Anchorage hotel you may find this a wonderful experience.
