Hotel needs management improvementPosted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: Breakfast scrambled eggs and tray of bacon!
Cons: everything... except for that tray of delicious bacon
Hotel needs improvement. This comes directly from Management, can't emphasize that enough. If its cold outside at Ted Stevens airport, you may just wait 1 hour to be shuttled to this hotel, even though they claimed it would be 15 minutes. After a day stay, your room may have been forgotten to be cleaned occasionally or the coffee packets or Kleenex not refilled. Also, they may forget you had an extra day stay and then they try to break into your room (or call you) waking you up in the middle of night because they couldn't find your records and don't know who you are, even though you've been in the same room for a week and have been loyal customer for over 10 years now each month! Then they may not say a word when you checkout, like 'sorry for that' or ask 'How was your stay' so you can address these issues. Nope...they simple don't care. But other than that the breakfast is really great, Mark is the cook! Because of him I may just rebook...maybe?

Great place to stay - close to the downtown area.Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Liked the size, the quietness, the suites with a microwave and refrigerator.
Cons: Would have liked to have grab bars in the bathtubs.
We booked through Expedia and were happy with the results. We were in anchorage for a 5 day conference on Inidian Educaiton.

Suites are available for longer stays..Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: The free breakfast option, free internet. We were able to get a room not far from the elevator as requested.
Cons: Fix the shower leak. Fix the drain in the tub.
Location: The parking lots was shared by a busy restaurant which forced us to park further away from the handicap parking area. We did not shop or eat nearby.
There were a lot of people in/out and was noisy at night. Loud talking in the hallway after midnight. Housekeeping is only once a week. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, condiments for the coffee, garbage bags. Beds were too hard for my comfort. The shower fixture leaked. Water did not drain unless we manually lifted the plug up.

Great stay in middle of town.Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: New computers in lobby.
Location: Parking is a problem. Bennehan's is next door and shares the parking lot. Museum is close and downtown.
Great breakfast. Pool and spa. Had some trouble finding parking. Computers in lobby are really old. Nice place and great people.

Very convenientPosted Sep 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
We live 95 miles north of Anchorage and we always try to stay at the Clarion. We have never been unsatisfied with our stay. They have great rooms, very clean, wonderful staff and the breakfast is always good. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel I will stay againPosted Sep 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was great for a great value. It was conveniently located to downtown. Benihana restaurant right outside in same parking lot so that was awesome. We ordered take out and loved that it was just a walk outside the hotel. The room was extra spacious. I had no idea i would have a separate living room area with sofa, desk, tv, small sink, microwave, fridge and even a small courtesy safe for valuables. Bathroom was spacious and clean and the room was clean with nice large flat TV. The only problem I had was the bed was too firm for me, but the front desk provided extra pillows without issue. The reason for my visit was my son's surgery, he stayed with me at the hotel so I could help him recover. He didn't have a problem with the firmness of his bed at all so I guess it's all a matter of preference. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the staff was great. Awesome customer service. This hotel does also offer Airport shuttle service which is another great option. My stay was excellent overall and I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Anchorage!

Nice hotel close to town/suites only.Posted Sep 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Clarion Hotel was nice, all rooms suites, living with couch 2 tvs, and a mini kitchen in each one. Close to town, try the Snow Cafe only a 5 minute walk, make reservations on line or long wait. Wifi OK a little weak. Only problem I saw was tired bathroom. Tub was just old and you had to take a shower in it. Water pressure and heat good. Bad placement on toilet you had to close door to sit comfortably. late at night by yourself hard to rememeber till too late, scooch that door past my leg. My wife would like.

very nice suitePosted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: spacious room
Location: nice park across the street, so we walked around some, even though it was a bit rainy.
We were very pleased with the room. It was quite spacious, at lest in relation to the types of places we usually stay. We were warmly greeted and checked in promptly. Unfortunately, we had to leave very early in the morning to get to the airport, so we did not get to try the breakfast.

convenient,good value and excellent comfort stay.Posted Sep 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Special deal for just one was only same price as many hotels of far lower standard. The location was only a block or two from downtown and very close to some of Anchorage's best known eating places. Suite was very well laid out, modern, well maintained and spacious. Parking on site affected by proximity to popular Japanese restaurant but aside from that convenient and adequate. Definitely recommended.
