We traveled for a long weekend and had a rental car. The parking is free in the hotel's lot, which was important to us. The room was clean & comfortable, for the most part, but it was disappointing to see that there was trash from the last guests still in the waste baskets. Staff was friendly and helpful, gave great recommendations for places to eat nearby.

Hotel needs management improvement

Pros: Breakfast scrambled eggs and tray of bacon!
Cons: everything... except for that tray of delicious bacon
Hotel needs improvement. This comes directly from Management, can't emphasize that enough. If its cold outside at Ted Stevens airport, you may just wait 1 hour to be shuttled to this hotel, even though they claimed it would be 15 minutes. After a day stay, your room may have been forgotten to be cleaned occasionally or the coffee packets or Kleenex not refilled. Also, they may forget you had an extra day stay and then they try to break into your room (or call you) waking you up in the middle of night because they couldn't find your records and don't know who you are, even though you've been in the same room for a week and have been loyal customer for over 10 years now each month! Then they may not say a word when you checkout, like 'sorry for that' or ask 'How was your stay' so you can address these issues. Nope...they simple don't care. But other than that the breakfast is really great, Mark is the cook! Because of him I may just rebook...maybe?

Great place to stay - close to the downtown area.

Pros: Liked the size, the quietness, the suites with a microwave and refrigerator.
Cons: Would have liked to have grab bars in the bathtubs.
We booked through Expedia and were happy with the results. We were in anchorage for a 5 day conference on Inidian Educaiton.

Gave it an overall 4 only because it had a dripping shower faucet. Staff was very right on once I told the. Neighborhood is decent, a park right across the street and very close to the ocean view. Hotel was a little 'dingy' in choice of paint colors but, clean and the staff cared.

Pros: The free breakfast option, free internet. We were able to get a room not far from the elevator as requested.
Cons: Fix the shower leak. Fix the drain in the tub.
Location: The parking lots was shared by a busy restaurant which forced us to park further away from the handicap parking area. We did not shop or eat nearby.
There were a lot of people in/out and was noisy at night. Loud talking in the hallway after midnight. Housekeeping is only once a week. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, condiments for the coffee, garbage bags. Beds were too hard for my comfort. The shower fixture leaked. Water did not drain unless we manually lifted the plug up.

This is a hotel with a "mom and pop" feel that is clean and quiet. It's a bit dated, but the staff make the difference! The van drivers - to and from the airport - and the early morning front desk staff really made my stay. They were personable, helpful, and went out of their way to assist me as a guest.
