“Worked for what I wanted”

I stayed at this Hotel while going to a conference at the Sheraton which is just a short walk away. I saved a lot of money and the room was fine for getting a decent nights sleep. Just what I was looking for.

“the stay was ok”

the stay was ok, wasn't impressed with the night front desk worker! felt unwelcomed...I think he needs to greet people with a smile whether if he's in a good mood or not!

“Days Inn Anchorage Downtown”

The Days Inn Anchorage Downtown wasn't the best place or worst. It was ok for the price of the room. But I did stay there without any problems with the room or other guest.

Getting around

The The Days Inn Anchorage Downtown did have a great location. It was just a short drive from the center of town, parks and major roadways.

“4 a.m. Wake Up!”

Maybe it is just for Expedia people, but if your room is next to the parking lot, you will be awakened at 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. by drunken, noisy people from the restaurant/bar next door. Office said they would be done by 5 and it wasn't on the hotel's property so there was nothing they could do. I suggested calling the police and reporting public drunkeness and disturbing the peace. Police came and they went home, but it happened again the next night.

“The hotel smelled bad”

The hotel was not clean. The rug of our room was wet and sticky and the entire hotel smelled bad.

“Days Inn Alaska”

While the hotel is clean and decently maintained it is old, in a bad part of town and has no breakfast. The rooms are really small for the price, a micromotel has larger rooms! The best part about this this Days Inn were the staff, they were very friendly and helpful!

“Convenient and clean”

This hotel fit our needs: clean & price-is-right. The staff was friendly at the desk, and the cleaning staff did a satisfactory job. It sits in a fringe area, but even walking home late we never felt worried. It's only a few blocks to the relatively small Downtown area, with a mix of tourist shops & higher-end art shops, as well as the museum. If in town on the weekend, I suggest a walk thru the street market at 3rd Ave & C St. there are also a number of restaurants in that area, I'd definitely recommend Humpy's at 6th Ave & F St; a little loud, but good food and a fun place.

“value and location”

Walking distance to most of the restaurants, markets and crafts fair area. Slightly longer walk to Cook's outlet but not out of reach. Airport pickup and drop off also a definite plus. Room was comfortable, wireless was reliable, and I felt safe.
