“One slight problem”

Only one slight problem. No heat! If you're from the South you might get a little cold in early September We were told that the heat is not turned on until winter which according to them must be in October. Tempatures were in the 40s at night so was quite chilly.

“Good place to stay in Anchorage”

We were there for the Iditarod start. Parking was a tad of a problem; mostly because of the excessive amount of snow that Anchorage has received this year! But the room was comfy, refirgerator and microwave were quite convenient. A minor problem was fixed immediately. All in all, apleasant expreience!

“Pleasantly surprised.”

The room was ready on arrival. Less than 5 minutes after reaching our room, we were called by the front desk and asked if everything was satisfactory. That was a first for this traveler.

“When you just need a room before exploring Alaska”

This is a good clean place to stay when you just need a basic room. I was just in town overnight before heading out to Valdez and it met my needs well.

“Great place to sleeping Anchorage on a tight budget.”

The hotel was a nice place to stay in Anchorage for a very reasonable price. The staff at the front desk were helpful. The main purpose of the hotel was a place to crash in Anchorage before or transportation to Talkeenta was available, I felt comfortable knowing that all my climbing gear would be safe in the room as we travelled around Anchorage getting last minute supplies.

“Solid place for the money”

We stayed for a night on our way to Seward and found the staff helpful and the rooms clean. It's not a luxury stay by far, but it's a good place to lay your head for the night. The restaurant across the street (also run by the hotel, I think) is a bit slow, but that seems like Alaska service as a rule. It only bothered us because we were in a hurry to get on the road.
