“The Best! Highly Recommended”
A++++ I made this reservation while traveling Alaska by RV for our last night stay in the Great Land before flying home. Check in was easy and staff were VERY pleasant and helpful. Staff offered us to stay in the lobby after check-out until our flight. Room was clean and quiet and the continental breakfast was wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. We could not ask for a better experience. We have stayed at 4 other hotels in Anchorage, some much more expensive and rated higher, but they don't compare to our stay here. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Thank You!
“A Fine place”
We have stayed here a couple of times. It's clean, the staff is nice, they have waffles for breakfast, an indoor pool and hot tub. The bed was ok. It's located in mid-town, and is convienient to all area's of town. You will prefer a car rather than on foot. They did build a new hotel in front of it, so it is not as easy to see as it used to be. It's good value for the money.
“Anchorage”
Our stay at the Fairfield was very good, we prefer this hotel over others. Its quiet, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful with questions we've had. The lady personally looked for us during breakfast, to inform us of an additional day the room would be available. We'd certainly stay there again!
“Only place I will stay in Anchorage”
This was a very clean hotel with very nice rooms and staff. The continental breakfast was good (I love the make it yourself waffles). My only complaint is the floor noise. We could hear every step the people in the room above us took. We fired up the fan on the heating unit and slept fine after that.
“great for a first time guest!”
As a second time guest I was very unsatisfied with the room itself. I was given a room that was used by industrial workers. I could not walk on the floor with out shoes . The floor was filthy.(carpet) It was like staying in a different place than when I stayed the previous year
“Very satisfied”
We were unsure what to expect due to other reviews but we stipulated that we were tired travellers and required peace and quiet on arrival. We arrived to pleasant staff who made us welcome despite our jetlag and everything was satisfactory. Some of our party did not like the American way of fast service, ie disposable plates and no service for breakfast but understand this is easy hotel life!
“A Bargin for a nice place”
Room was big and beds were very comfortable. Quiet, wish we could have stayed longer. Will stay there when we go back.
“Always a Favorite”
When ever we travel to Anchorage we try to stay at this hotel. The staff is always helpful and courteous. They seem to remember us and our needs. The only complaint we ever have is that in the summer months They raise the prices to over double what we pay in the winter months and we just can't seem to justify staying there then.
“Know the facts”
It's important for people to understand that this hotel is 100 yards from two other hotels - one of which is in the middle of construction (estimated completion date of Fall 2009). If you reserve a room, ask for the north side of the building, so you can have a quiet view of the other hotel (hotel 6), rather than a loud view of the other building (they start work at 7-8 a.m., 7 days a week). The rooms are small and the front desk staff haven't had sufficient training in customer service.
