Great staff!Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Friendliness of staff, ambiance, cleanliness and location
Location: Close to summer marketplace, great restaurants, bike rental and Coastal Trail
Everyone was extremely accommodating and friendly. Although our room was small with no view, it was very clean

This is a very quaint and nicely restored hotel.Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Gave us a view of the old Alaska history and buildings!
Cons: Screens on the windows would have been nice.
Location: We walked all through Anchorage and went to the museum ( there is an Imaginarium there- interactive museum)
We enjoyed the our stay in this restored historic hotel - originally built in 1916. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was very helpful and very nice. The breakfast was continental, but more than enough choices in the very quaint restaurant downstairs. We would definitely stay here again.

Great LocationPosted Apr 13, 2015
The Hotel is located right downtown. Although it is called Historic, there isn't any of the charm from other historic hotels. It lack charm but is nevertheless a good place to stay. On-street parking is possible but check the signs.

History is alive!Posted Mar 16, 2015 on Hotels
it is a very nice and quaint older hotel. We enjoyed the historical value the most. lots of interesting history and a very cool bar. however, the noise from outside on a Friday and Saturday nights is substantial. to be fair, we were near the Street and on a lower level. I think it would be better on the third floor. I would stay here again. Very reasonable prices.

Historic Anchorage Hotel in FebruaryPosted Feb 16, 2015 on Hotels
Nice cozy place. Does have that historic feel. Good bed and shower. One problem was the internet was slow.

Charming, but a little past its primePosted Dec 3, 2014 on Hotels
Perfectly fine place to stay to easy access to Anchorage downtown, but there is a trade-off: charming historical venue translates to a little run-down. Nothing major, just a little dinginess.

Good affordable hotel. Great location. It has character and is very unique. It is a little old but very comfortable and affordable. Breakfast is ok, nothing too fancy but sufficient for a bagel, eggs, coffee and granola yogurt.
