hotel stay exceeded my expections. I had heard that HJ's were past their prime.

The hotel staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at Howard Johnson and will definitely book a room again on my next trip to Anchorage.

Over the weekend stay, I walked over to flea market across the hotel. Quiet area next to container terminal. Hotel is good.

Great location in downtown Anchorage, and close to the highways. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

Excellent location. Good shuttle service to and from airport. Very comfortable room.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Compared to other hotels in the area, the price was cheaper, but it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. All staff encountered were very friendly and helpful It advertised having a large pool, though, which wasn't so large or deep, but a small disappointment in the larger picture. Overall, a great pick. Am definitely going back!

“Comfortable and affordable hotel near downtown Anchorage”

I had seen some negative reviews of this hotel on other websites but was overall very pleased with the convenience and comfort of this hotel. The bed was comfortable, rooms were clean, and the staff was very friendly, especially our waitress at breakfast. It is on what appeared to be the outskirts of downtown but it was a short walk to lots of great places to eat and shop. The bathroom was a little shabby but clean and serviceable.
