“Close to everything”
Stayed here 2 days before our Alaskan cruise and I am glad we stayed here. Location is great, smack in downtown and walking distance to a everything. Only gripe is the parking-- no free parking.

Check in was efficient, rooms were clean, and amenities were available. Staff was gracious and helpful. We liked the location... easy to get around the city and to the train station. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Anchorage!!!

I highly recommend this hotel; very clean, excellent size room and bathroom, friendly, efficient and helpful staff. I felt welcome from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. Excellent choice!

Just like to State of Alaska, the Marriott in downtown Anchorage was a great visit.
“Clean room with a view”
The location of the hotel & view from its room was its selling point. The con is probably lack of free parking. They charge you significantly for valet parking. But the metered parking (if available) is free during nights & weekends.
“Disappointed”
This was my first stay at this hotel and I was disappointed because I expected a lot more from this level of hotel. The comforter on our bed was clean and washed but had stains that looked like either blood or chocolate and it was very visible. I was surprised that housekeeping allowed the comforter to remain on the bed as I'm sure they saw it. Also, after realizing I had forgot my toothbrush, I sent my husband down to the front desk as I was sure they must have had complimentary toiletries but they did not. They directed him to a small store in the hotel where he had to purchase a Wal-Mart brand toothbrush for five dollars. I was amazed that the hotel could not provide us one for free as so many other, less expensive, hotels invite guests to the front desk if they need any extra toiletries. Overall, I was not happy with the hotel and will stay at another one next time.
