I was flying home after the holidays,came into town well after midnight, and needed a clean room and bed to rest before driving the five hours home. I did not want to pay a lot for a clean bed, just a good night sleep before driving home. This fit the bill for a low rate. Low for Anchorage is not super low, but in Anchorage, lower than I paid meant a dive. Nothing fancy, but when you go to a place to sleep, what do you take away with you to compensate for a high rate? I took away a rested self that drove the five hours home in safety.

“Always a good experience”

We have to travel to Anchorage frequently for medical reasons and have stayed at almost all of the midrange priced hotels. We settled on Motel 6 now and every time we've stayed there have been very happy with our room. The staff is always courteous and helpful, the rooms are fairly new and have always been very clean and comfortable. The rooms don't have many frills such as coffee makers or hair dryers and bring your own shampoo, but for the price, we've been very happy every time we stay. (There is coffee in the lobby in the morning) It can be a little tricky to get to, so if you're not familiar with Anchorage, print a good map or get directions. There is airport shuttle service for travelers and it's in a great location for dining and shopping. I highly recommend this hotel for people that just want a clean, comfortable stay.

“For the Price you can't go wrong!”

I wasn't expecting much when I booked this hotel because it was one of the cheapest around but when I got there I was very pleased to see it was a new building, very easy to find from the airport, close to restaurants, good location for around town, and very nice employees. I'll stay again on my next trip to Anchorage.

“Great hotel for the price”

This hotel turned out to be the best value in our entire 10 days in Alaska. We visited Anchorage in the beginning of our Alaska adventure. We stayed in a hotel that was twice the price of Motel 6. When we returned from our venture in Alaska we stayed here because of the price. I wish we had stayed at the Motel 6 both times we were in Anchorage. It had everything we needed. We found they had a wifi cable in every room attached to the back of the tv. Coffee pot right down the hall. I would make Motel 6 my first choice for a hotel in Anchorage. Dollar for dollar you can't beat it.

“Motel 6 - Clean & Comfortable”

My recent trip to Alaska necessitated a layover in Anchorage. I was looking for a clean, affordable room with airport shuttle service. When I arrived at the airport, I conveniently called the 2 digit # to request the shuttle - which arrived within 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the hotel, the desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. He even let me use his personal cell as mine was not working. The room was very clean and in great condition. They had coffee in the foyer in the morning. I would definately stay there again and I would recommend it to other travelers.

“Great hotel for the price”

The hotel was clean and looked new, the staff were friendly and helpful and the shuttle service to and from the airport was a great bonus. We used it several times. The room was plain and nothing special, but for the price, this was an excellent place to stay for a night or 2. My husband and I spent the night there and then after doing some traveling, we returned to Anchorage and spent another night at the Motel 6. We would definitely stay there again.

“clean, near restaurants and short drive downtown but a little small”

The bathroom is a great size but the area with the beds and desk is just a little cramped; however, as you probably aren't going to be staying the room for long it doesn't really matter. The room was clean and within walking distance of quite a few restaurants. Also, it is a short drive to down town and if you take a taxi it only costs about 12-14 bucks. The restaurants that deliver know it well and the shuttle is fast bringing you to and from the airport. I left my more expensive electronic equipment in the room and nothing was touched or even moved. The maids seem to only make the bed and clean up the dirty towels while leaving fresh ones. Oh, and of course take out the trash. If you want a cheaper place to stay that is clean and you don't care about slightly cramped quarters it is a great place to stay! I mean Alaska is expensive enough you don't need to splurge on the hotel!

Had a Non-Smoking room on the the top floor. Hotel was well ventilated so the lower smoking floors did not impact the non-smoking floor. This hotel fit the basic hotel needs. Room was clean and quite, good location. Spent 3 nights without any incidents.
