“nice place for its category and great location”

It is in a great location - close to Downtown, airport and Seward Hwy, all within 15 minutes drive. The property is clean and looks fairly new. I was actually expecting a rickety old place considering it was Motel 6 and was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was big and had a huge wall to wall counter and a big shower and the room was big too, at least the one I stayed in. The carpet, fixtures and everything else looked new. The staff was good. There is free high speed Internet in the room. The only things missing in the room were coffee maker and Iron, for both you have to go down and get them. All in all, a neat place for it's category.

It was a very good hotel to stay at. My husband and I and our two friends slept comfortably in the double queen room. The only complaint that I had was the night shift hostess. She was the only one who seemed at little rude and unfriendly. All of the other staff members were excellent.

Enjoyed our stay. Desk clerk was rather rude. Our key card would not work in the door and we had to take it up to the desk clerk to be scanned again and half the time that didn't work. The third day they finally gave us two new keys.

This was a very well maintained lower price hotel. It is near a major street, but I didn't hear any road noise. There are a number of restraunts nearby, but very little is within walking distance so plan on having a car. The hotel does not provide shampoo so plan accordingly.

It was ok to stay, would stay there again, hopefully there won't be a bunch of intexicated people next time around. The staff was very good in taking care of the problem.

I would have rated the hotel higher; however, the heater in my room was broke and it remained around 62 degrees the whole time in November. I felt that the housekeeping staff could have done a better job at cleaning.

“Comfortable, clean, caring staff -- one caveat”

Hi - We have stayed here many times as it is an inexpensive way to stay in Anchorage. We live in Seward and must be in Anchorage frequently. This hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptionally nice and thoughtful. Our room service staff always did an exceptional job tidying up. The only caveat is that more than once, there have been unpleasant people staying at this hotel. Case in point: My last stay - March 16-19, 2011 -- some people had a terrible fight right outside the front doors of the hotel. They were cursing and swearing with the most vulgar language at the top of their lungs. It went on for 45 minutes. Nobody intervened. It was very unpleasant. Another time, there was a very loud, crowded party in the room above us. In that case, the staff intervened and the police were eventually called. It's a shame that unsavory characters choose this place. The hotel is NOT in a bad location. It is between several very nice hotels. It is not shabby. It is just the least expensive. I will stay here again despite these disruptions because of the other quality points and the good price. I will just be sure to let the front desk know immediately next time there is loud dispute!
