“I loved it”

The Inn is very relaxing place in a great area. Close to the places one needs to go and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. I loved it.

“Good for the price”

This is a nice place to stay the the price that is paid. It has a nice kitchette to make your stay in Anchorage less expensive and is located to do basic shopping and appointments if needed. It is not located near downtown at all if that is what you are looking for or are wanting.

“A good 2-star hotel.”

A good place to stay that is convenient to downtown, the airport, places to eat, and to the bases. Although, if you plan to prepare meals in your room, you will probably have to ask for pots and pans as our room did not have any.

“Nice Place to Stay”

Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. They made my stay enjoyable. Like the fact that the rooms have full kitchens in them allows you to not have to eat out all the time. Rooms are large and clean. Would be a nice place for a family. Very close to the Seward Highway. Had good prices for the room. The whole experience was a good one. I would stay again in this hotel.

“Comfortable, Convenient, Good Value”

We were pleased with what we got for the price. The location is great for Anchorage - not too far from the airport and close to most Anchorage locations of interest, including downtown. our room was very 'roomy', more like a studio apartment. The king sized bed and furniture were comfortable. The lighting was good. I have been in some 'cheap' hotels where that was marginal. We had our own private balcony looking out onto a quiet lane with birch trees. You need to be aware that this facility is near busy Seward Hwy. With windows open it can be noisey. We had no windows open, so it was no problem. The kitchen is nice, including a small table with four chairs, but you will need to provide your own cooking utensils. If you want to save money by doing some of your own food, this will work great. The refrigerator is plenty big for wahtever you need. The table service is limited, but at least there is some to work with. Although we interacted with them very little, the staff were friendly. We felt like we got a very good value for the money and would definitely consider it for future stays. If you are looking for something 'fancy', then the Parkwood Inn may not be your choice, but otherwise we think it is a great choice.

There were renovations going on while we were there. The fixtures in the bathroom and the kitchen were outdated, and the painting was a little sloppy, but everything was very clean. It wasn't far from anything. We would diffently stay there again.

“Quiet, safe, roomy, comfortable”

Quieter, larger, roomier than most three and four star places in Anchorage. Mid town location worked well for us for shopping, movies, restaurant choices. In spite of being next to the highway, we weren't bothered by noise of any kind. Staff friendly, helpful, beds comfortable. Place is older and a little run down - carpets need replacing in corridors, could use new paint too. We would stay there again.

“An excellent value”

Parkwood isn't a 5 start hotel. Trim and polish on the hotel and rooms aren't great, but it's not a dive at all. But, the staff is great, and willing to help out with anything you might need. Great local knowledge of Anchorage and its surroundings. If they can help you out with something, they will. If they can't they'll help you find someone who will. I even had trouble with getting a taxi to get me in time for my flight, and a staffer offered to drive me to the airport if I couldn't get a cab in time. Also, through if you book through expedia, this could easily be the best hotel value in anchorage! If you're looking for a decent clean comfortable hotel room for a great price, this is the place for you! Plus the rooms are HUGE, and have a full kitchen and walk in closet! I'll be staying here again for sure!

“Nice budget hotel in Anchorage.”

This is an apt. converted to extended stay hotel rooms. For the price in Achorage it was nice. We only used it overnight, but has a kitchenette, large closet, double beds and a pull-out couch. When we needed extra supplies for our family of 5,the staff was willing to help out.
