“great for the money”
Good hotel for the money. Located near downtown. Hotel needs some carpet repairs due to wear and age. Very friendly helpful staff. Would stay again.
“ideal for travel in anchorage”
as of 7/25/11 there is a new bar/restaurant. ate there one night after getting back from denali on the train - good food and great beer selection with nice atmosphere. close to train so convenient but obviously will here the occasional whistle as train arrives/departs. ac not in all rooms - so ask for it. comp breakfast had a decent selection and was well stocked/restocked. staff was friendly with dirs/info and they provide airport and train shuttle service. short walk from this hotel to all downtown businesses and restaurants.
“More Than I Expected”
stayed 4 days while having daytime conferences at the Captain Cook. Room was just as impressive as CC. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Not too far of a walk from downtown. Balcony was nice. Would definitely stay again.
“Wonderful place to stay”
Nice and clean very pleasant staff. I'm going back next month and plan on staying there again!
“Will stay there next time.”
Staff was very nice & helpful. The continental breakfast was much more than a roll & coffee. Enjoyed both! Good central location for visiting the city. For folks staying more than a couple of days, you'll be interested to know that they have a guest laundry room.
“Better than expected”
Although the hotel and room seemed slightly dated, it was clean and the staff was helpful. The free airport shuttle and in-room internet were added perks. They even had a pc with complimentary internet in the lobby. The complimentary continental breakfast was surprisingly good with self-service cook to order belgian waffles, cereal, fruit, bagels, and an assortment of muffins. It is also very near Elmendorf AFB. I will definitely stay again.
“Very good experience overall”
Stayed at this hotel previously. Great location, friendy and efficient staff, and generally a good value for the money in Anchorage. Rooms clean and comfortable, and maid service excellent. Great breakfast.
“Inexpensive and utilitarian”
Was in Anchorage for Alaskan Barley Wine Festival as writer and needed relatively inexpensive room in proximity of venue, taking weather into consideration. Ten minute hike from anywhere I wanted to go in center of town. Close to excellent used bookstore for those long arctic nights. Short hike to 2 excellent microbreweries (Glacier & Sleeping Lady) and 1 craft beer bar (Humpy's). No food beyond breakfast at hotel, but good restaurants around town, especially serving halibut and some game. Hotel also accommodating with advice on how to navigate greater Anchorage, calling cabs, etc. Perfect for modest, non-luxury expectations, easy access. 5 minute walk from small mall.
“Awesome, Would stay again in a heart beat!”
Great location, first of all. I hope I don't sound fake, but I was going up there from Cali to check out the schools, and you know Cali has amazing hotels, but this simple quaint ramada was perfect. The staff was beyond friendly, even the cleaning ladies were a hoot. The beds were super comfortable, the temperature never needed to be adjusted. Room was spacious, bathrooms clean. A+!! And the continental breakfast had a wide variety.
“Fairbanks best hotel”
I liked it very much. everything was well. if i will go back to Fairbanks, i will definetlly stay at Ramada!
