Terrible Experience. Understaffed and impersonal.

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: decent sized room.
Cons: more staff, and a cleaner lobby
Location: Anchorage was great, hotel was terrible.
A very impersonal and public feel. Nobody was there to help with bags. Only one person working in entire lobby. Had to wait fifteen minutes just to check in. Not worth the money for what is supposed to be a high quality experience. never staying there again. Low level room with view of parking lot, at a very high cost.

Schönes Hotel am Rande des Zentrums,

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: wie schon gesagt: die Lage
Cons: dem Hotel sagen, dass der ATM mal gründlich auf Vordermann gebracht werden muss ( hab` ich aber auch schon gesagt).
Location: siehe oben
Ein schönes Hotel in bequemer Stadtlage. Ruhig und und doch leicht erreichbar. Freundliches , hilfsbereites, kompetentes Personal, sehr gute Küche, gemütliche Bar

Pretty good for Anchorage

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Good room.
Cons: Windows could be more sound proof as it is pretty loud. The staff could be engaged a bit more in creating the experience.
Location: Good location for Marathon and downtown area. Easy walkable.
The hotel is a good location. The room was good. The restaurants have a down time where there wasn't a place to just have a beer or something from 3-5, kind of weird. The front staff wasn't that fantastic. The room was great though and clean. We had just run the marathon and that was the main thing we needd.

Last minute check in

Posted Jun 24, 2015
This time a year expect to pay a lot for a room in Anchorage, but for over $300 a night the rooms need to be updated and cleaner. Hard to find outlets to plug in your phone, AC is loud and shower/tub combo is from the 90's if not older. The girl at the front desk was awesome and very customer oriented.

Recently renovated

the hotel appears to have been recently renovated and is quite comfortable. Higher floors have good views over anchorage.

Did not live up to the Sheraton name

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Booked a Jr. Suite and when we arrived after midnight (I had called ahead and they said not to worry as lots of flights get in late) we were told there weren't any available and were put into a room with 2 queen beds. Only they weren't queens, they were doubles. Not comfortable for 4 people. Asked the next morning if we could get a larger room and they moved us - to a room with only a king bed. They saw 4 of us in front of them and really thought one bed would work? Moved back into the double bed room. Ridiculous that we were not in the suite I reserved and then not moved to one. I would have had no problem paying more that what I had reserved the price at to be in a larger room. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom had chipped paint, paint on the wood and a small hole where the towel rack was mounted. Not what I expected from the Sheraton brand at all.

Pros: The staff was extremely accommodating.
Cons: The breakfast buffet was very poorly organized and poorly stocked. For such a nice hotel, it was a big disappointment.
Location: Walk to the excellent Anchorage Museum and take the shuttle bus to the equally superb Native Heritage Center. Try Roscoe's for great Cajun!
We enjoyed the hotel very much and appreciated a great restaurant recommendation (Glacier Brewhouse). Very well located.

Hotel bisognoso di rinnovo

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Il personale alla reception è giovane, volonteroso e inesperto. Il responsabile è tanto bravo quanto gentile. Fa tutto lui. Le camere richiedono urgente rinnovamento.
