Sheraton Hotel Anchorage

This is the best hotel in Ancorage for the price. How much more can I say? I'm typing on a phone.

Comfortable hotel close to military bases.

Loved everything with the exception of the food in the lounge after 5 pm. Had the salmon which was dry and wilted vegetables.

Escape from Artic Slope

Pros: Location, Spa Services, Prompt Staff, Club Floor
Cons: Everyone was rated as a 5 - no complaints.
Location: The 5th Avenue mall was within short walking distance as well as the Performing Arts Center and Anchorage Museum.
The staff were impeccable. Always attentive and remembered my name which was pleasant. They assisted me several times during my stay from utilizing the business lounge to spa reservations. The spa services were most satisfactory. The Club floor is absolutely the place you want to be at this hotel. It was a wonderful relaxing weekend in downtown Anchorage with everything within a walking distance.

Easy access to downtown

Pros: Location
Cons: Room service woke us up early Sunday morning despite having "Do Not Disturb" displayed on the door.
Location: It's Alaska, sky is the limit.
Overall good experience. Paying for parking was a little surprising.

Nice hotel. Sketchy people staying there.

The hotel was clean and now, however the people staying there were sketchy. Made me a little nervous. And they didn't skip the 13th floor!

With regards to your comments regarding our clients we are in Alaska so the dress code here is somewhat more casual than in the lower 48 so perhaps that is what stood out. As for the 13th floor, many hotels nowadays do have the 13th floors as this was a myth started in the 40's and carried on. Believe me when I say we have had no odd incidents as a result. I stayed I the 10th floor and had a great view of the city and the cemetery right below. The hotel was in walking distance to the mall and local shops and bars, but I had my car since the weather wasn't that great. Cheap parking, mostly covered. Hotel staff was very polite and accommodating. Also, they allow pets so I my next visit I'll be sure to bring mine along with me!

Close to the central part of town

Pros: Quite good location.
Cons: The staff, more friendly and helpful.
Location: The museum walking distance, close to mall.
Staff lacked friendliness , and didnt provide any information ..

Okay stay

My stay at the hotel wasn't fun the first night because there was a very loud neighbor. I can hear them walking back and forth out the door. The next day I moved to a different room - staff was nice enough and apologized. The rooms are small and not that big. There are no small fridges, microwaves, the room doesn't look "fancy" but it had a beautiful view. The Ice Spa was very nice but it was the best massage I've had - the workers were also very friendly. You don't get free Internet, they charge you for delivery for the food you order from there. Also about the Spa you have to make a cancel 4 hours before your appointment and if it's like 3 hours before your appointment and you cancel they'll charge you, anyway. There was no shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel was beautiful, staff was friendly, the rooms were okay but you can hear people talking next door at night when it's quiet and trying to sleep. The beds were very comfortable though. But I won't book another room there again.

The room is clean and it's in downtown, so it's very convenient to go to the museum and go to other visit place.
