I stayed I the 10th floor and had a great view of the city and the cemetery right below. The hotel was in walking distance to the mall and local shops and bars, but I had my car since the weather wasn't that great. Cheap parking, mostly covered. Hotel staff was very polite and accommodating. Also, they allow pets so I my next visit I'll be sure to bring mine along with me!

Close to the central part of town

Pros: Quite good location.
Cons: The staff, more friendly and helpful.
Location: The museum walking distance, close to mall.
Staff lacked friendliness , and didnt provide any information ..

Okay stay

My stay at the hotel wasn't fun the first night because there was a very loud neighbor. I can hear them walking back and forth out the door. The next day I moved to a different room - staff was nice enough and apologized. The rooms are small and not that big. There are no small fridges, microwaves, the room doesn't look "fancy" but it had a beautiful view. The Ice Spa was very nice but it was the best massage I've had - the workers were also very friendly. You don't get free Internet, they charge you for delivery for the food you order from there. Also about the Spa you have to make a cancel 4 hours before your appointment and if it's like 3 hours before your appointment and you cancel they'll charge you, anyway. There was no shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel was beautiful, staff was friendly, the rooms were okay but you can hear people talking next door at night when it's quiet and trying to sleep. The beds were very comfortable though. But I won't book another room there again.

I would have hoped we would have been informed about the loud neighbors as we would have had a quiet word with them regarding the noise. Nonetheless again I do apologize. We do have fridges in all our rooms but unfortunately for safety reasons we do not place microwaves. Our room service department is available for any needs. The room is clean and it's in downtown, so it's very convenient to go to the museum and go to other visit place.

Good hotel, great deal at the right price

Cons: give free parking & don't raise prices
Location: great location
Staff were great. Desk person offered us a good deal on an upgrade to a Club room, and that was great. good selection of beverages & snacks. So we got a club room for about $81.00 and that was a good deal, but I wouldn't pay much more.

Great hotel and location.

Pros: beautifully laid out, clean and roomy and 1st class.
Cons: An airport shuttle would be nice. After $50 round trip taxi fare, it is priced like others in their class with shuttle.
Location: Downtown, what else can I say.
Don't know what the regular price is but couldn't beat it for the quality when I stayed there 11/26/2014. These style hotels usually charge $150-$200 a night. I paid half that.

Great place to stay and affordable good views and great food every body was very friendly. The room was. Dry nice and clean I will stay here again.

Double charged for stay, overcharge not refunded.

Pros: The d├ęcor was comfortable and warm.
Cons: Customer service is horrendous if you need to resolve any problems.
Location: Downtown Anchorage, there are plenty of other good hotels to chose from. Try the Captain Cook, the Hilton, or the Marriott just to name a few.
I booked with the Sheraton Anchorage online (with Expedia). Expedia charged my credit card for the reservation (as they should have). During check in I presented the credit card to the hotel staff for incidentals. When I checked out they also charged my card for the full amount of the reservation (which I had already paid for with Expedia), plus incidentals (which of course they were entitled to). I discovered this by reviewing my banking information the following week. When attempting to contact accounting with Sheraton via phone to resolve this, I was unable to reach them. This is despite leaving a phone message with accounting and trying several times over several days during the business week to reach them. I then went to Expedia to see if they could help me resolve the issue. Expedia advocated on my behalf with Sheraton's accounting department. They ran into the same struggles contacting anyone, and ultimately received a denial from the Sheraton. Accordingly I am quite frustrated by the experience. I have been ripped-off, and haven't even had the courtesy of a return call from this business. While the hotel was otherwise pleasant, I cannot in good faith recommend them to anyone who expects common courtesy resolving problems. I would recommend you consider spending your money somewhere in Anchorage where the business practices are not sub par. Businesses should not be rewarded for taking exploiting customers.
