Nice hotel in Midtown, needs some upgradingPosted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The convenience to midtown.
Cons: New sheets and bedspreads, better breakfast that is at least cooked.
Location: Near to shopping, theaters, and restaurants.
Met family for Easter Holiday. Sheets and bedspread were stained with what looked like black oil or something. Asked for a complete bed change, but it did not happen. The pool is small and unable to swim laps because of the small children and families. Oatmeal was not cooked and the scrambled eggs were cold and runny. In comparison to the price, it did not meet my standards.

Not long term stay friendly.Posted Dec 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Came in late, one of the last rooms. Had a couch but couldn't watch TV from it. Refrigerator didn't have thermostat to turn it on had to call housekeeping. It was handicap room so couldn't hang my ants in closet. Left the next day... was planning on staying the week. Not business friendly. Didn't like the fact I had to pay extra for faster internet. It should come with the higher cost of the place.

Dear Wendy, First, allow me to thank-you for including SpringHill Suites Anchorage Midtown in your travel plans, we do appreciate your business. I apologize for the disappointment you must have felt when you checked into your room. I realize there is very limited space in the closet area and it is set lower for easier access for those in wheelchairs, and that can be very difficult if you are packed for business. The refrigerators do have thermostats, they're located on the inside towards the back and they are difficult to see. I'm mentioning this not to contradict what you are saying, I'm only letting you know in case you have trouble with them again elsewhere. Our hotel is due for a renovation in 2016, and we are also looking forward to some of the really nice changes that will come about. Thank-you so much for your feedback, we really do appreciate hearing from our guests. I will share this information with my staff. Once again Wendy, I truly apologize for the difficult time you had at our hotel, I hope the hotel you transferred to better fit your needs. Sincerely, Lenora Moses General Manager
