Great Alaskan Getaway; Stay away from restaurant

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Ambiance
Cons: restaurants
Hotel was everything expected. Very beautiful scenery. Wildlife abundant. Close to Anchorage and the Kenai peninsula sites. Room decor was a little tired/worn. Hotel staff was great, helpful. Tram conductor was very friendly. I would never visit the Seven Glacier restaurant again. Staff was rude and rather snobby. There were very few people at the restaurant the night we were there, yet they made us wait 15 minutes for a table. Open tables were everywhere. The seafood was "ok", but we've had better dishes at restaurants that were not supposedly 4 diamond. The steak was a huge disappointment. If you've ever had a good steak in New York, Chicago or the Midwest, do NOT get one here! For how expensive the restaurant was, we would have expected much much better.

Beautiful resort

We stayed here two days ago on our way to Whittier to do the glacier cruise. We like it so much that on the way back today from Seward we decided to stay another night before heading up to Fairbanks. The resort facilities are beautiful and well maintained.

nice hotel

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: I liked the towel warmer in the bathroom
Cons: A fan in the bathroom would be nice. Also being able to better regulate the room ventilation (being able to turn it off would've been great
Location: lots of little trail, didn't take the tram, way too expensive!
The hotel was very nice, the beds comfortable and the room was clean.

Very nice and comfortable hotel

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: The room was very comfortable and had blackout shades.
Cons: The bathroom could be cleaner. There were hairs on the bathroom floor when we arrived.
Location: Great location for in between Anchorage and Seward. Plenty to do or just relax and take a drive. We went ATV'ing nearby. The concierge can help you.
We stayed for 2 nights. There is also a saltwater pool and hot tub and gym which we enjoyed. There are places to eat downstairs.
