Great location

This is a glorious location to explore south central ak. Staff doesn't want to be there but who cares, you're there to visit ak. The rooms are great and the hotel restaurants are great. I especially recommend the seven glaciers if you want to spend a pretty penny on a fantastic dinner, and it truly is fantastic.

Good central location for lots of one day trips.

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Location, Prices, free tram tickets,
Cons: Room cleaning crew could be a little more attentive to replacing towels, washcloths and clean liner each day for ice bucket.
Location: Location: Girdwood, AK Fishing (both river and ocean), activities in Anchorage, near access to Seward and Soldatna, Talkeetna and Whittier.
Good food, evening ice, chocolates and items hotel cleaning staff failed to leave were greatly appreciated and useful. The only downside was that the floor was not vacuumed each day and some days could have really used it. Even every other day would have been good. The melted ice in the bucket was not emptied and so we did not have a clean liner each day.

The power went out twice during my stay and there was leftover food still remaining in the hotel room fridge when I arrived. Overall, I was happy with my stay. The spa & pool facility, as well as dinning and surrounding trails are phenomenal.

Wonderful facility with lots to do

Posted Aug 13, 2014
We loved the hotel amenities (nice pool, great decor, friendly staff). Also included were unlimited rides on the Alyeska Tram, where you can enjoy wonderful views at the top on a good day. There are lots hiking trails nearby. The one we particularly loved was the 2.5 mile track to a hand tram over a beautiful gorge. It's definitely something not to be missed.

Nice hotels with a great view.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Locate and the view
Cons: Price is high
Location: Bake Shop for lunch and diner at Double Musky.
The view is excellent located within the mountains. The tram ride to the top of the mountain is spectacular with the view of 4 glaciers.

Nice Hotel at the base of Alyeska Ski Resort

Location: Park for the kids as you drive to the hotel, & great hiking & skiing!
Beautiful hotel, with a pool and game room that the kids enjoyed! Lots of options for food & shopping on site. Not cheep, but nice. Beautiful views from the top of the mountain after we rode the tram up courtesy of the hotel & expedia!
