“A very charming and cozy boutique hotel on an amazing island; a unique bed & breakfast on the beach”
My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights over New Years and had an amazing time. We flew to Nassau, took Western Air to Congo Town. The Hotel and island are very special places and we'd go back; irregardless of price we loved it and factor in that's it's a bargain rate.
One caveat I'd make is, Know What You're Signing Up For. If you're expecting a posh, luxury hotel that's not Emerald Palms. The rooms are nice, but standard; pool is pretty basic; restaurant/lobby have good food but not a 5-star restaurant. The island is pretty isolated, so your food options are the hotel or one of a few spots (food was delicious)
With that said, this is a 2500 person w/ few resorts and very sweet locals where you'll leave feeling like you know the people, a truly uncommercialized gem...at the hotel you'll know the couple that owns it, the staff and you have 5 miles of white sand to share w/ no more than 20 people. The water is crystal clear blue and the weather, no matter what the forecast, is 80 and sunny.
Hotel has kayaks, snorkel gear, bikes to use for free and a beautiful reef w/in rowing distance. If you want more snorkeling or scuba, we'd highly recommend the service that they'll reference at the front desk.
If you're looking for a place to truly relax and have an array of fun activities for free at your fingertips this is your spot. There is an indescribable element to this hotel and the best words I can think of are: boutique, peaceful, special and beautiful
