“Best Place to Chill in Driggs Hill”

From the moment we arrived at the front desk we were impressed and it just kept getting better. The staff are all wonderful and very helpful. They invited us to go dancing down in Kemp's Bay and even to do a little crabbing. The bikes were a real plus and my fiance and I really enjoyed getting outdoors. It was so peaceful the whole time and we took full advantage of it. What are you waiting for?? You should go!!

“A very charming and cozy boutique hotel on an amazing island; a unique bed & breakfast on the beach”

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights over New Years and had an amazing time. We flew to Nassau, took Western Air to Congo Town. The Hotel and island are very special places and we'd go back; irregardless of price we loved it and factor in that's it's a bargain rate. One caveat I'd make is, Know What You're Signing Up For. If you're expecting a posh, luxury hotel that's not Emerald Palms. The rooms are nice, but standard; pool is pretty basic; restaurant/lobby have good food but not a 5-star restaurant. The island is pretty isolated, so your food options are the hotel or one of a few spots (food was delicious) With that said, this is a 2500 person w/ few resorts and very sweet locals where you'll leave feeling like you know the people, a truly uncommercialized gem...at the hotel you'll know the couple that owns it, the staff and you have 5 miles of white sand to share w/ no more than 20 people. The water is crystal clear blue and the weather, no matter what the forecast, is 80 and sunny. Hotel has kayaks, snorkel gear, bikes to use for free and a beautiful reef w/in rowing distance. If you want more snorkeling or scuba, we'd highly recommend the service that they'll reference at the front desk. If you're looking for a place to truly relax and have an array of fun activities for free at your fingertips this is your spot. There is an indescribable element to this hotel and the best words I can think of are: boutique, peaceful, special and beautiful

“Great place to get away from it all”

We spent four nights at the hotel and came back rested and renewed. There's very little to do on the island but swim, fish and scuba dive. The water is just beautiful. The hotel has a pool and the lobby has wifi. The food is good but a bit on the pricey side. The hotel has a laid back, charming quality. It's a perfect mini vacation spot to decompress and unwind.

“Beautiful hotel but poorly managed”

The hotel itself was very nice and located in a beautiful spot. We stayed in a garden view villa, and it was gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for more from the accomodations. The food is another story. The cont. breakfast was great while we were there, fresh fruit, muffins, homemade bread, cereal, bagels, etc. The lunch menu was not bad, it was reasonably priced, and had an ok selection. The dinner was all over the map. The prices ranged from 25-30 dollars for entrees which at best were not bad and at worst were mediocre. One of our entrees was served with frozen vegetables. One day the hotel ran out of treated water to drink at the restaurant, and offered pop instead. Which they proceeded to charge us for. On the menu one of the options said it came with either fries or a salad. I asked for the salad and they charged me 7$ on top of the initial price of the meal. These are a couple examples of the poor management that is preventing this hotel from being an amazing place to stay. Also there was not really a beach to speak of. You could bike ~10 km down the island to a beautiful white sand beach where most likely you'll be the only ones there. On the bright side, the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The bikes that the hotel provided enabled you to explore the island and were very fun. All in all, I do not regret my decision to stay at EP, the good outweighed the bad.
