The quiet little town of Angels Camp is nestled in the Sierra foothills between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, on Californias scenic Golden Chain Highway 49. Founded in 1848, the town was a booming mining town between 1880 and 1920. Many of the original buildings from the mid-1800s still line Main Street. The Calaveras County Fair, famous for its Jumping Frog Jubilee, is just outside of town.
