“Anguilla Hotel”

This hotel represents great value, an affordable Anguilla property in a great location. Meads Bay is one of the best beaches in Anguilla. It is uncrowded and lovely. The hotel rooms are very comfortable with great linens and beds. There are very nice touches added to make this a true Anguillan hotel experience including Thursday night folklife show and buffet. The staff in the restaurant and bar were extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. You can tell it is a well managed hotel. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again. It is also very close to Cove Bay Beach and Rendezvous Bay - both extraordinary beaches.

“Our 4th Anniverary”

Our stay was wonderful a wonderful experience. The staff were very courteous and always smiling. Our room was both spacious and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was also very nice. We had requested a rental car and the hotel staff set it all up for us.

“Anacaona Stay”

First time staying at this mead beach hotel. Excellent, Staff was very good, Food was excellent and the amenities were wonderful. Beach service was very good. I also liked the quiet and ambiance of the lobby. Will stay again in future.

“Ideal relaxation spot”

What a wonderful little surprise this hotel turned out to be. I found the Sirena to be the perfect place for a very restful, relaxing vacation. On arrival, the room was beautiful with traditional island decor, without being overstated or touristy. The room was exceptionally comfortable and very well maintained both by room service and the repairman who promptly replaced a burnt-out light bulb. There is a short walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach perfect for a long walk by the seashore or simply relaxing in the beautiful sunshine with an ever-present cooling island breeze. The restaurant always provided excellent food for any meal and the service was wonderful. This hotel may not be as posh as some that are being built on the island, but it is an excellent value for your money.

“Meads Bay Hotel Option”

The Meads Bay location is ideal for a "chill out" quiet vacation. You can walk to the beach from the hotel in 2 minutes. Hotel has beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Two pools but never used them - beach is exceptional! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner at onsite restaurant-very good. Other meals average. I would recommend renting a car to eat at local spots or walk down the beach to nearby restaurants. The hotel can arrange for a rental car to be delivered to the hotel for you.

“Great Vacation!”

This hotel is definitely the best value in Anguilla. The room is decorated nicely and kept very clean. The staff is friendly. Although the beach is a very short walk away (maybe 2-3 minutes), it is quite possibly the best beach on the island. There are great restaurants a short beach walk away. It is important to know that at this time, there is a hotel being constructed right next door to La Sirena. It is a little noisy if you sit directly in front of the resort, but otherwise it is not obtrusive at all. This island is one of the best I have seen in the caribbean. It is quiet, the people are friendly, and the beaches are unbelievable. If you are not the type that needs to be pampered during your vacation, but likes to explore the local culture and landscape of the island, then La Sirena is a great place to stay.

“Comfortable”

Our room on the third floor was spacious, clean and comfortable with a partial ocean view. The hotel has no elevators. Anacaona is not on the beach, but the walk to Mead's Bay is very short, thru the gardens and along an unpaved and uneven backstreet, so mind where you are stepping. The beach was nice, frankly not the best on the island, and during our stay it was windy and swimming looked insensible. We found that when the wind blows the sand does too. We retreated to the more sheltered environment of the pool, but the water there was frankly frigid. Mornings and evenings there is a fair amount of noise from the proximity of a well travelled roadway. New owners have been in place for 18 months and refurbishment is still in progress. Anacaona has aways to go to become all that it can or could be, and there are a few glitches here and there. For now it offers a reasonable alternative to the more activity oriented and pricey accommodations elsewhere on the island. We noticed few guests dining in and quickly understood why. Food was pricey and the short menu got boring after a week's stay because it never changed. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby but you will need a rental car. Repeat: rent a car! Taxis are expensive and a trip out for dinner can run $40 or more just to get where you are going. Rental cars run 40-50$ per day, $20 for a mandatory temporary drivers license. Anguilla is a quiet island, has very friendly people, is safe, but frankly is quite expensive.

“Paradise in Progress”

This hotel has a wonderful bar set in the main lobby in front of a beautiful pool. the staff re among the friendliest most accomadating and helpful i,ve ever encountered. it is a short walk to the beach down a beautiful path and We consider Meads bay Beach the best beach on this island . the resteraunts in the immediete area are some of the best on the island. The only negative is that the rooms which are in the process of being upgraded need some work ;they are very clean and you cant beat the price. This Island is not cheap but it is a great place to vacation. Overall an 8 out of ten

“Mixed Bag”

I recently returned from a trip with my wife during the low season - with some mixed feelings. I found the overall appearance of our room to be good, but there was insufficient extermination, and as a result, we were terrorized by bugs. The last day, there was no water in the morning due to a shortage. There was also holes in the screen door, and other minor signs of insufficient maintenance. On the other hand, when our flight was delayed, food was in our room when we arrived (after the restaurant was actually closed) and we awoke to a tree-level view of the ocean. A short walk to the beach and we were in the paradise as described - alone on the beach with no one as far as the eye can see, calm waters, and a cooling breeze. The staff provided free snorkel gear, towels, and directions to local destinations, and arranged for a rental car quickly and efficiently. I did not complain at the time, as I want my room to be right without the whining, but when I filled out my customer feedback survey, I was offered a significant discount if I wish to return.
