This is a perfect stopover if you need to be in Montrose. Location is close to rail station and centre of the town. Kate makes sure everything is good and arranged taxis as needed. Room clean, tidy and bed comfortable. Not sure what else you want. OK, breakfast is in a bag but it worked for me.

Short break at B and B close to main streetPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: The best things about this place is the landlady and the location just around from the main street of Montrose
Cons: An extra chair in the room would have been nice
Location: The B and B is centrally located with a few pubs and restaurants near Also close by is a golf club tennis courts putting green and beach with playpark
We had a 3 night stay at the Chapel House B and B their facilities were adequate for a short stay the room was basic but clean and tidy and the breakfast was served in a rather unique fashion it was none the less enjoyable and more than enough. The lady of the house was a very cheerful and chatty person and was also very helpful I would have no hesitation in recommending this B and B for a short break

Nice Bed and Breakfast, Kate was very nice. Seagulls a nightmare but thats the coast in Summer. Did not read small print on take away breakfast so was shocked when told. Only downside to my stay was the breakfast.

Central location.Posted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: Could have done with a hair dryer. China crockery and metal cutlery would have been nicer.
Ideal location for the centre of Montrose. Very friendly owner and very clean room.

Not as good as last timePosted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed in another room here that was en-suite - this one wasn't. The "private bathroom" was on the opposite corner of the building on that floor (a gown was offered - I preferred to walk the corridor fully dressed) - it has a hand-held only shower on the bath taps with no shower curtain. The bedroom was ok although the duvet cover had what seemed to be cigarette burns on it. Breakfast for all guests is now served in a bag that is left outside the door late evening with a paper plate, paper bowl, plastic cutlery, cereal, croissant and fresh fruit. Fresh milk and fruit juice are left in the mini-fridge during the day.

Cosy place to stayPosted May 29, 2013
Pros: Right in centre of town but still very quiet.
Cons: Smaller sized room with slightly sloping floor!
Location: Handy to shops and restaurants.
Kate was very friendly and helpful. Lovely wee spot to stay in Montrose.
