I highly recommend

Clean rooms. Modest, but delicious breakfast. Very close to shopping places and restaurants. At the weekend there are lots of bars at walking distance. I can stay again..

Everything is perfect, near hotspot of city, in the middle of shopping, cafe and restaurant and night life.

Very Convenient

Posted Jan 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have been to Ankara before and had business in a number of places including Cankaya and Balgat. The Otel Tunali has numerous conveniences in right outside the hotel in Kaviklidere, a shopping and dining destination. There are small shops, global branded shops and malls. Restaurants of all prices ranges abound and up the hill are the nice restaurants and shops of Cankaya (embassy area). Locally, there is a pharmacy, supermarket and dry cleaner. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you fly to SAW on the Asian side and want to get to the European side, to not choose the Ataturk Airport Shuttle. They promise door-to-door service but it took 5 hours as they did not have a van available, the greeter made us wait while he solicited people coming off planes, and the driver went out his way to drop off Turkish passengers first even if he had to backtrack. Stay at the Tunali and avoid Ataturk Airport Shuttle.

Good hotel in a great location

The hotel is right in the middle of busy street with restaurants and shops. It is not too noisy and very convenient. Rooms are OK. Breakfast can be better but is fine for a free one.

Hotel Tunali, Ankara, capital of Turkey

Posted Jul 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
We had a very pleasant stay in this relatively small hotel. Inside it is modern, comfortable, and the welcome we received as we walked into reception was very warm indeed. Our room had a king-sized bed, air-conditioning, all the furniture one needed, a wide-screen TV with far too many channels, and a well-stocked mini-bar. The hotel is well located in an area popular with tourists and near a pleasant city park. Ankara is a big city and most tourist sites are well separated. We found taxis plentiful and not badly priced. We enjoyed the citadel, the Museum of Anatolian Civilsations and the open park at Dikmen Vadisi in the south-west of the city (half an hour's walk from the hotel), all seen in one day. Our only criticism, which the hotel needs to address (we put this on the review card it provided), is that the food served in the smart dining area was not as good as one expects in average Turkish restaurants. Breakfast was OK but in an area where there are plenty of outside restaurants the hotel needs to raise its food quality if it is to compete with them. Nonetheless, we recommend the Tunali as it gives good value for money in the room prices, it's in a good location, and breakfast is included even though our booking sheet (from Hotels.com) said it wasn't!
