“fıne hotel and fıne stay ın ankara´ turkey”

WE FOUND THE HOTEL TO BE EXCELLENT AS WAS THE STAFF--THE PRICE WAS ALSO VERY GOOD THANKS TO EXPEDIA. WITHOUT EXPEDIA IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO EXPENSIVE.

“Preis-Leistung in Ordung”

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral. Gute Einkaufmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe vorhanden. Auch die Verkehrsanbindung ist sehr gut (Metro, Taxistand vor der Tür). Der Zimmerservice lässt nicht lange auf sich warten. Rezeption also Empfang könnte/sollte freundlicher sein. Frühstück/ -szeiten gut. Kann im Großen und Ganzen das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

“Don't believe the 5 stars”

The hotel advertises itself as a 5-star hotel in historic Ankara. It is the reason why I chose to stay in this hotel, in addition to to the fact that it seemed to be a bargain. However, very soon I started wondering how this hotel obtained a 5-star rating. Here is why. The receptionists in the hotel do not speak english. Their english was so bad that they didn't even know what the word "towel" means. I figured this when I asked for extra towels, which never came. The hotel offers breakfast. Yet, there was no variety and the deli/sandwich meats were the cheapest kind one can find. Rooms were in terrible condition. Old beds, covers, and sheets, furniture falling apart, and restrooms that you felt uneasy to use. Even the shampoos were so cheap and seemed diluted with water. Lastly, there was a small tv in the room where you could barely watch anything. For these reasons, I feel that this hotel is way overrated and I would give it 2.5 stars.
