“Alright for the price”

Among the hotels in the direct neighborhood it was the cheapest. The room was in good condition but it could have been cleaner. It did not look like as the room was vacuum-cleaned before. Given that the hotels in downtown Ann Arbor are really expensive the entire area is a good alternative as two bus routes run on a regular schedule. In particular in Winter but also in general I prefer a hotel where the room door is not towards the outside but rather in a regular building which is not the case for the red roof inn. The next time I would therefore pay a bit more and take one of the other hotels around.

“Clean, Friendly, and Convenient”

Everything I wanted. Breakfast is standard but tasty, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

“Good value”

We needed a place to stay in order to visit the University of Michigan the next morning. The room was clean and quiet, although only accessed from the outside. The complimentary continental breakfast was basic but fresh. The hotel was located on the route to U of M so that was handy. The only slight problem we had was finding the hotel - the name outside read "Best Value" instead of "America's Best Value".

“You get what you pay for.”

The staff was very nice. The motel needs work. It is older and needs updating. The carpet was stained, and there was a small mildew patch in the shower area. So even if it as clean as possible, it gives the appearance of being a little dirty.

“Would stay again”

The hotel was adequate. Very convenient with the shuttle bus to the UofM football game. Nice breakfast selection (expected choices) and VERY friendly hotel staff (they couldn't have been more helpful or nice). The furnishings of the room were nice, however, I felt the tub and rug could have been a little cleaner. I would stay again while in Ann Arbor.

“For the price, not too bad.”

Beds were great. Perfect location for wanting to see the University on staying close to the highway for travelling through. Restaurants near by too!
