Room Cleanliness

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: It was close to the University of Michigan without the noise of the dorm and frat houses.
Cons: Housekeeping (dust)
Location: University of Michigan campus and easy access from highway.
Overall, our hotel was fine. We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the room. It was dusty and there was a chip on the floor of the bathtub/shower. We were surprised by this since it appeared that the lobby had some recent renovations.

We stay here whenever we attend the Nascar race.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Easy access from the highway..
Cons: Having a quite time after 11:00 pm.
Location: This location is good for shopping and restaurants.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very good. The only negative part is that some of the other guests have no respect for other guests trying to sleep at 2am in the morning, talking and laughing loudly after the bars close. As this is not the fault of the motel, we will definitely stay here again.

Gets the Job done

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Great beds, very nice hotel staff
Cons: Internet connection wasn't that fast. The desk and chairs in the room could be upgraded as they are pretty old.
We needed a decent place to stay for two nights after travelling half way around the world and the Red Roof Inn got the job done. There's nothing fancy about it, but the room was clean, everything worked and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was also good. Staff was very friendly too.

Close to Big House

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Cleanliness was a problem. Not good housekeeping-one bed had basically half meal in it. Thank god for two beds. Needs to be upgraded. 1980s decor. Lobby personnel was nice and above average. Breakfast is not recommended here. Recommend across street at Graham's for breakfast- Kensington court.

MANCHESTER UNITED VS REAL MADRID SOCCER GAME

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly, well maintained grounds, free breakfast. Comfortable beds, free wifi. Nice courtyard.
Cons: Room was quite dark. Brighter d├ęcor please. Bigger bathroom and the very, very, very loud fan in the bathroom stays on when you turn the light on.
Location: Briarwood Mall, Olive Garden, Applebees
The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the property very clean, the grounds of the Red Roof are very well maintained. We stayed one night. Arrived Friday afternoon, went shopping at the Briarwood Mall, which is very close by. It was very quiet in the evening, considering Ann Arbor had lots of people out of town for this soccer game. We took a shuttle bus to the stadium on Saturday and the hotel staff, graciously let us leave our car on the property.

Comfortable room, convenient location, good price

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The price was right, conveniently located, and overall satisfactory for the price paid.
Cons: In room coffee maker would have been nice. There were some flies in the room. Shower/tub could use an upgrade. Staff weren't super friendly/helpful.
I wasn't looking for a 5 star hotel, or a 5 star price, and this met my expectations for the price. The room demonstrated normal wear and tear, but also had some recent improvements. There were granite countertops and a nice flat screen TV. I was going to complain about the shower being lukewarm, but realized (at the end of my shower, when I turned the handle to what I thought was the off position) that if you turn the handle downward, you get plenty of hot water. You can catch the city bus at the mall across the street, otherwise it's about a $15-$20 cab ride into downtown. Breakfast in the morning was pretty standard continental fair, no waffles or hot foods, but a decent selection and seating.

Comfortable but not clean enough

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Finding the hotel was hard. Sign was hidden by trees. The aces by roads was hard to manuver. One way streets with no lights very confuding. But that's not the fault of hotel. Room was nice, bathroom could have been cleaner and brighter. Staff was excellent ! Breakfast could have had a little more variety.

Our 1st room was a smokers room. Not what we paid for so we changed to room #2. Toilet did not flush so 3rd times a charm.

This hotel has individual outside access and is a great pet-friendly hotel. Easy access and easy to unload car. Staff was accommodating - room was nice and roomy.
