“okay”
The convenience of the location, central to downtown Annapolis and within walking distance of the historic sites, make up for its cramped quarters. A microwave or a way to make tea would have been useful. The people were friendly and helpful.
“Very pleased in Annapolis”
Very charming. It was a bit strange checking in at the deli counter below the B&B, but the staff couldn't have been nicer. The room was small but very nice and comfortable. The location was fantastic. And the price was very reasonable. Whenever we go to Annapolis, we'll think of the Scotlaur first.
“Small but did the trick”
We were looking for someplace inexpensive in downtown Annapolis to stay for the night after a concert and this place fit the bill. It's so close to everything you don't really need a car to get around. (But if you do have a car you have to park in a parking garage behind the Inn for a nominal fee) The Inn calls itself a bed and breakfast, but it's really just a bunch of rooms above a deli. No ambiance like a bed and breakfast. My room was so small I could barely walk from one side to the other because the foot of the bed was so close to the wall. Also, the sink was on the opposite side of the room from the shower/toilet. It has no front desk, you check in at the deli which is kind of weird. Also, the deli closes at night (maybe midnight?) so if you are out past that time you need to use your key to get into the back entrance to get up to your room. I guess if anything goes wrong past the time the deli closes you're out of luck as no one is there. However, I will say that the service was very good and the people very nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is at the deli and was better than the average "free" breakfast. If looking for an inexpensive place to stay again, I would stay there again as long as I wasn't planning on spending any significant amount of time in my room.
“Great Price and Location”
It is a cute B&B in the heart of Annapolis. It is connected to a deli, which serves great and hearty complementary breakfast. You will not find anything this cute for this price so central in Annapolis. The rooms are a bit small, but the bathrooms are clean and spacious.
“Great Value for the Location”
This hotel is right in the middle of all the excitement on Main St. in Annapolis. This place is very quaint(meaning that the room is just a room) and very clean(just like grandma's house). Plus you are above a deli where you get to have a breakfast included in the price of your room. The room was a bit warm and ventilation is quite low, but then again I didn't try to open the window. I fully recommend the Scotlaur B&B. If you are into history and love small room's for a good price then stay here!
“Excellent Establishment - Charming and Quaint”
Had a wonderful time - excellent service and a charming little Bed & Breakfast. Will certainly go back the next time we're in Annapolis.
