Website deception

Posted Jun 22, 2014
We found the hotel on expedia then checked the hotel web site. The website is in no way a representation of the hotel. The pictures showed a great lobby, indoor pool and exercise room. When we pulled into the hotel lot and saw the bates motel we were very surprised. The rooms were clean, with working AC, fridge and TV. It was an overall good experinece as long as you know what you are getting into.

Not an A+

Posted Jun 10, 2014
All the hotels were booked and this was inexpensive and had a room left. The room had an old wet carpet smell to it. Be it clean, it left my wife and I with a creepy crawly feeling. The mattresses had no cover, the bathroom had a bath-fitter over a moldy and mildew frame. We would not ever chance this place again. The staff was fine, but the entire place is due for a make over to bring it up to date.

Village Inn Annapolis Old Mill Bottom Rd

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Price was right. Slept soundly.
Cons: Weather Channel on TV cable access would be nice.
Location: Great location! Close to Sandy Point Beach and good access to Annapolis attractions.
It was a pleasant stay. Good value. Clean & comfortable. Welcoming staff.

Bring your GPS, Better yet, stay elsewhere

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Cons: Pretty much everything
This was a total disappointment but we knew it was not going to be great ahead of time. Late made plans forced us to stay here on a very busy weekend in the Annapolis area. Ex[posed water lines running along the wall behind the toilet, crumbling plaster at the floor/wall joint with no moulding to cover it, carpet was clean in front of furniture and dusty/filthy behind. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, freezer needed to be defrosted and no room for anything in it as a result. As I said, we were not expecting too much but this was beyond bad. One plus......bed was comfortable. Better have your GPS handy as you try and drive the last half mile off the exit ramp.

Half way to beach

Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Close to interstate and easy to get to.
Cons: Wfi needs to be upgraded.
It's about halfway to beach if you get a late start and need some place to stay for the night. Room was a typical hotel room. Wifi was slow but adequate. Good value too..

Naval Academy games, graduation etc.

Posted May 26, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the U.S. Naval Academy
Cons: The fridge did not freeze a water bottle overnight.
Location: On rt 50 near the Bay bridge
The property shows it's age but it is well maintained. No mold, linens sparkely clean, in room fridge, microwave and small coffee maker and cups but no fixens so bring your own t-bags. Coffee in the front office. I have already recommended the Village Inn to friends and family. Great restaurant across the highway. Convienant location for US Naval Academy and 30 minute trip into D.C.

Lackluster but adequate for one night

Posted Oct 22, 2012
If you didn't look too closely, this room looked average for the price range. The room was decently clean, it smelled fine, the bed was comfortable and clean, and there was a fridge, microwave, and television. However, once you looked closely at things (like the bathroom floor, the tub, furniture, etc.), you could see signs of disrepair and what looked like unfinished and sloppy work. Also, the walls were quite thin (we could hear the talking of the people in the room next to us until late in the night) and there was a gap under the door that let light from outside in. Overall, not the worst motel I've ever stayed in, fairly cheap for the area, and only about 10 minutes from Annapolis, but next time I'll try to get a room at the Super 8 down the road.
