Golf getaway

Posted Oct 16, 2014
We traveled from Halifax for a golf outing at Clare Golf Course and returned to Annapolis Royal for dinner and overnight. The Inn was a delight - very true to its historic roots, very well decorated, very comfortable, and excellent breakfast - tasty; different yet nutritional and filling. The host was very pleasant, warm, and helpful in responding to our needs.

Hurricane Hospitality

Pros: It's a beautiful old mansion, lovingly care for and beautifully decorated. The staff/owners went out of their way to make our stay as fine as possible
Cons: Nothing
Location: Annapolis Royale is a charming town with tons of history to explore. The town walking tour or ghost walk thru Fort Ann provide a wealth of information
Even in the aftermath of Arthur, with no electricity, the staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They moved us to a better room and were able to direct us to some of the few places still offering meals. The following morning they served a lovely hot breakfast despite the continued lack of power. It was a wonderful time in a terrific old Victorian mansion.

B&B as what you would expect

Posted Jun 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
A very nice B&B that is walking distance to other attractions and restaurants. The host was very nice and breakfast was delicious. The room that I selected was very small but comfortable for 2 people to enjoy. Very peaceful and quiet B&B great for a getaway.

Great location and comfortable rooms

Posted Jun 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
This bed and breakfast is in an historic mansion in Annapolis Royal. The house is probably the most impressive to be found in the town. The inn is within walking distance to the beautiful historic Annapolis Royal Gardens, which are well worth the price of admission. The local eateries and the boardwalk are also within walking distance from the inn. The property surrounding the inn is expansive and contains huge trees, a beautiful pond with water lilies and areas where one can sit and relax. The rooms are clean and have excellent comfortable beds. Our room had a claw-footed tub with shower, which might not be for everyone, especially those with problems with stepping into and out of such a tub or those that are very tall. Every morning a very nice breakfast is served in the dining room. The host and hostess are very friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. We were very happy with our stay at the Queen Anne Inn.

Wow!!!

Pros: The bathroom was as big as the bedroom and had a huge bathtub. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling.
Cons: Better wifi
Location: Shops, Food, Antiques, and walking trails all nearby.
We spent 2 two nights at the glorious Queen Anne Inn in Annopolis Royal Nova Scotia in May 2014. Having never stayed in a B and B I was very impressed with the accommodations and the service. The house was grand with soaring ceilings and wide staircases. The host and hostess were able to fill us in on the history of the home. We will return to stay here again when we visit next time.

Nice Inn in a tiny little village.

Posted Oct 15, 2013
The Inn was great and the couple who runs it was even better. They carried our luggage up the stairs. They gave us good information about the surrounding. The Inn was well kept and it did give a feeling that you are back in time. Breakfast was cooked fresh to our specifications. I don't think you can get any better experience in a little village.

A step back in time

Pros: Everything
Location: Click off the tube and explore this historic destination!
Beautiful old mansion now serves as a majestic Inn. We had a wonderful stay here as we toured historic Nova Scotia coastal communities. We were in town to witness the dedication and unveiling of the memorial for the fallen soldiers of the Afghanistan war. This memorial is special as the students of Maple Grove and Yarmouth High raised all the funds to erect it. Must be the pride of NS! The staff were excellent and we could not endorse the plce any more

Beautiful B & B in Annapolis Royal

Posted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: The quaintness of staying in a Victorian mansion with the period furniture, art & decorative items.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: Small town on a river with an historical fort, some nice shops and restaurants. Whale watching nearby, also hiking.
My husband & I spent 2 nights at the Queen Anne Inn during our travels around Nova Scotia. It is a beautiful Victorian mansion full of antiques and period art set in beautiful grounds. The host, Greg, was very helpful with local information and with a rye sense of humor. The included breakfast was delicious. We did not get to try dinner because it was the 2 days the Inn did not serve it! But if the breakfast was any indication, dinner would be excellent too. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate though small. Understandable when in a renovated Victorian home. Greg provided a bagged breakfast which included juice, muffins, fruit and yogurt as we had to leave early to catch the St. John ferry. I would highly recommend this B & B as it was clean, charming and in a great location.
