Superb family holiday at the Barut LaraPosted Aug 9, 2013
An exceptional hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and superb choice and quality of food. Masses of activities on offer or the chance to lie back and do nothing.

Family VacationPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Facilities, Food
Cons: The photographers shack in front of the elevators should be moved away, they are very annoying and every time you go in or out of the room you need to
Location: nothing to do nearby, always take a taxi even to go to the ATM use a taxi, its so hot outside
We spent 10 days in June 2013 with the family. High season, lots of sun and luckily the hotel is so big, that you dont feel the amount of people that are inside. Its a fantastic hotel for families, not for couples that want to have fun. The activities, music and generals are made for 45+ age european style as many Germans are in the hotel. I recommend you this hotel if you are traveling with kids. On the other hand, i wouldnt recommend you this hotel if you are young or you want a quite place to rest ( no kids disturbance). The food is international and very good except for one restaurant close to the beach. Is not really the hotel and the food shouldnt be judged only due to a bad chef is on one of them. The beach is clean and the room accomodation is quite well mantained.

A place to relax and enjoy good foodPosted May 27, 2013
Pros: The quality of the restaurants and the entertainment team.
Cons: The fact that you have to login every so often to the free wifi and have to enter your ID and password again and again.
This is really a 5-star resort. I had a hard time getting my wife out of there. This not your usual all inclusive resort. The restaurants are really of high quality. Very relaxing location and the staff is very caring. We were told to avoid this place in July and August when the weather is hot and humid. The entertainment team is very good, however, keep in mind that this resort is not for young singles.

Excellent hotel!Posted May 10, 2013
Pros: The grounds were nicely kept and the facilities and food were excellent. Love the cat house too!
Cons: The room was tidy and but the floors weren't necessarily very clean all the time. I would pay a bit more attention to this. Otherwise it was fabulous.
Location: Location is nice, there is shopping and some local restaurants near by but we weren't too much into that.
We had a great experience. The place was excellently kept. Staff are a little all over the place, some are very kind and polite, some are business only, and others were more aloof, but nothing to deter us from coming back. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Worst hotelPosted Apr 18, 2013
Very disappointed hotel appeared "tired". First times I have ever visited a hotel any where in the world where they insist on Bikinis be worn in in door pool and sauna. Ridiculous

Excellent Vacation HotelPosted Jan 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
I will spend my next off-time in the same Hotel again. Hopefully I will be able to get a better room in the main building. Food and service are of high standard. They deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately other guests had better rooms for less?? Quality of service is perfect.

A 3 maybe 3.5 Star HotelPosted Oct 5, 2012
I'd rate this hotel an overall 3.5, the hotel is in decent shape. The staff cater towards Eastern European travelers. I would not recommend for Westerners. The weather is great for a sunny holiday. It's good for families. You're a bit isolated so staying longer than a week is too long I'd recommend 3-4 days then move along. Note food was decent but a lot of the same day after day. Drinks are definitely watered down but expected at a mid-range all inclusive.
