“Cool Pool”

Loved the pool. Big and bright and airy. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast room was small but the staff did a great job keeping the items in stock. Eggs and sausage, waffles, cereal, etc. Very happy wth the stay.

“Satisfied”

Overall it was good. The staff was very courtious and friendly. Everthing was clean and orderly. Our only complaint was other guest slamming their doors. Otherwise it was fine.

“why did they put the motel here?”

Over the 4th of July holiday in the upper central part of Wisconsin, the nearest motel chain 20 miles from where we were visiting, was as expected for the value I was hoping for. I even got a treat when I went down to use the pool in the late afternoon of the 4th and found my own quiet retreat all to myself. This may seem an out of the way motel, but it was full for the weekend, then emptied on the 4th, and seemed very well maintained. 1st time stay, but I've been to several Motel 8's throughout the central states this summer, and this is a value chain in my opinion.

“Beware of "non-smoking" Label”

Everything was fine except that our room, which was "nonsmoking", was obviously a smoking room previously. We smelled it as soon as we opened the door. The odor just never goes away. Hotel staff should advise people when a room had been a smoking room at one time.
