Curtain Bluff is the most rare of places to still be found when traveling. Its design, layout,, service quality and attention to detail is hard to find anymore. From the arrival at the airport to the check-in and check-out experience the staff cannot be more helpful. Rather than see this as another all inclusive resort, think of Curtain Bluff as a fine 5 star hotel set in the Caribbean sea. From its white linen service to its extensive wine list, the dining experience is more akin to a fine restaurant found in large cities. The suite we rented had three balconies and looked both over the Atlantic and Caribbean sea. The gentle breeze made air conditioning irrelevant. Having traveled through the Caribbean I can say that Curtain Bluff is a rare jewel in the crown of fine hotels/resorts.
One activity not to be missed is the weekly cocktail part hosted by the owner in her wonderful home overlooking the ocean. She is a most graceful host and the views are something not to be overlooked. Bring your camera.

I was at the Carlisle Bay about 3 weeks ago and am sadly just getting the time to write a review now. Too bad the great relaxation I felt at the Carlisle Bay didn’t last a long time since it was a wonderful experience. I had made a last minute booking to the resort for some much needed R&R and got exactly that. Simply put, the resort is extremely relaxing……gorgeous bay, beautiful beach, OUTSTANDING service, caring staff, delicious food, luxurious room (I stayed in an Ocean view room on the 3rd floor which had a wonderful view). From the second you arrive in the serene lobby area (which is lovely because it does not have that normal industrial hotel lobby feel), you are treated to a great experience. It is clear that they try to improve all aspects of your stay and strive to keep the resort at a very high standard. I had traveled on my own, and felt very safe and well taken care of by an attentive staff (I miss breakfast on the balcony!). I had booked the tennis week and was thoroughly impressed with the tennis coach Ken. He is a great trainer!! The tennis week came with a massage which was fine. The spa area needs soft background music or such since the outside noise can be heard in the massage room. Nevertheless, I would still give the Carlisle Bay a 5. It truly was a relaxing and beautiful resort!

On arrival we were met by staff and manager given cold towels, and a drink, then escorted to our room, it really started the holiday off feeling special. Staff were excellent from the reception staff to the groundsmen (who maintained the lovely gardens) and always helpful, we were amazed they always remembered our names. We requested a fridge in the room to keep medication cold and that was provided with no problems. Hotel and location great. We were bed and breakfast. Breakfast was amazing with so much variety and choice. We ate in Palms restaurant, the evening meals were disappointing, the a'la carte menu was not alot of choice, the desserts were a buffet where we were informed to help yourself, no menu or price given for the desserts. There could have been better choice for desserts incorporating local tastes/produce/receipes. We hired a car for a week and found a couple of good restaurants. We went on a catamaran trip round the island also over to Barbuda and saw the frigate birds. Staff were always helpful, extremely polite and knowledgable, they gave advice on locations or things to visit. Before we left we had to get an ice pack re-frozen for taking medication home, it was placed in kitchen freezer and we collected it before departure. The holiday was a great experience and we feel the staff helped to make it special.

My husband and I just got back from the Inn and it was absolutely beautiful! The room is extremely clean and the food is very good (this coming from a very picky person). The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate your needs. The only downside is that the food can be pricey and you can run up your bill up if you aren't on a meal plan! Overall it was a great experience and a great honeymoon :)

Nonsuch is fairly remote, but it seems most resorts in Antigua are a bit off the beaten path. The road into the resort is being repaved (cement!) now, and from the rate they were working on it, I expect it will be done by sometime in November/December. It was passable with our little low rental car as it is right now, but bumpy.
The rooms are as gorgeous as they look on the website, and the view is beautiful. We gave the room comfort a 5 we used the air con at night, but the way the rooms are made, if there is ANY breeze, you really don't need it during the day, which was really lovely.
We had the sailing package, and their sailing fleet and staff were fantastic - the boats were in perfect condition, with what looked like new sails on every boat we saw out (the resort was closed for September, and we went in mid-October), and everything in great order. We went out with a sailing instructor for the first few times to get familiar with the boat, learn the local reefs, and to even sail out to a snorkeling site. They were very accommodating. There are two sites for snorkeling that are reachable by boat from the resort, and the resort regularly will take you out to the sites twice a day, 3 days a week.
The beach is not much of a swimming beach (sea grass on the bottom), but is well shaded with palms, and there are 2 very nice infinity pools. We were there during tropical storm Gonzalo - and were very impressed by how quickly they cleaned up a big mess on the beach.

Super relaxing holiday. Couldn't be closer to the beach. Beautiful clean sandy beach and crystal clear waters made this a great venue for reading, relaxing and swimming. Food was great and the staff were so helpful and happy it was just a wonderful time. Best suited for couples as children would get bored but for us it was awesome.

"Talk about paradise....the very minute we arrived!"
From the very moment we arrived to our last morning before leaving we were made to feel very special...we never worried about safety, everyone we met, who worked at the resort were happy and so full of life. Our room was awesome and clean...just what we were looking for during our stay. Where else can you enjoy a pool without anyone else, where else can you walk out your patio and be 5 steps from the beautiful ocean and white sand beach...not to mention Coconut Grove Restaurant. I give Siboney, the owner, Mr. Johnson and staff an Excellent rating...we will be back...just hope it is sooner than later. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

My wide and I spent 5 nights and 6 days in Cocobay, and we are very pleased, it was the first part of our honeymoon and we must say that we will go back for sure as we are living in the Caribbean and visited several islands around.
The staff is very attentive to you, everything is done to make you feel at home but with a royal treatment !
We recommend this to everyone who want to spend few days or weeks in a Caribbean Island to relax and enjoy white sand and clear water.
A must : chose the sea facing room with pool on your balcony nothing better than relaxing in your own little pool facing the sea after few hours on the beach or swimming with the sting ray ...
