“Wonderful experience”

Galley Bay was our first all-inclusive resort vacation. After reading many reviews, we had high expectations and we can honestly say our expectations were exceeded! From the moment you exit the taxi to the moment you have to leave, you are looked after by one smiling face after another. We were not disappointed by any meal during our stay. All meals are a la carte; except for the fruit, cereal, toast part of breakfast and the beach barbecue. Lunch & dinner menus are changed daily. A different local band plays nightly until 11 p.m. If you’re looking for late night entertainment, Galley Bay is not the place for you. The beach is lovely but very hot as there is no shade unless you go up under the palm trees. The ocean was lovely; snorkeling is reasonably good as there is a small coral reef. Sailing the Hobie cats and Sunfish were fun as you can get some good breezes off the shore. The pool was tranquil and relaxing with its refreshing waterfall. Though small, it was never crowded and there was no splashing – a positive of an adults-only resort! The Teepee bar was just a short walk away. There is no poolside bar service. Finally, ALL the resort staff was unbelievably welcoming and friendly providing outstanding and friendly service. Their attention to detail in dealing with the guests is incredible.

“Couldn't have been more perfect!”

After 2 years of searching the Caribbean for the perfect weddingmoon resort, we could not be more satisfied with having chosen Galley Bay.We are very private people so we were looking for something quiet, not crowded, with a beautiful beach (to have the wedding on) with a rustic, unpretentious feel. That's exactly what we found at Galley Bay. We stayed in a premium beachfront suite and we were extremely satisfied with our room. The sand was litterally steps from our patio doors and the view from the bed looking out at the ocean was phenominal! We can't commend the staff enough for their excellent service and attention to detail. Natashe and Levique were among the greatest bartenders we had the pleasure to meet. They really go all out to entertain you and make sure you're having a great time. I stressed over wedding details before leaving for the trip which was time completely wasted. I immediately trusted that Ernestine, (the onsite wedding co-ordinator) to make things beautiful in first 5 minutes of talking with her. We were married on the beach at 4pm and ate supper at 7 in the white gazeebo at Ismay's restaurant at 7. We had a nap by the pool before lunch on our wedding day! No stress at all. The spa services were great aswell. Mani/pedi, massage, makeup...all great! The food is wonderful at all restaurants. The Gaugin is so romantic with it's thatched roof huts facing the ocean. Every table is placed so that you're facing the ocean while you eat.

“Spectacular Honeymoon”

We highly reccomend Galley Bay Resort. We went there for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The staff, the food, the drinks, everything were above and beyond our expectations. One of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We will absolutely be returning.

“Wish I was still there”

My husband and I chose galley bay resort for our honeymoon. Everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff, the rooms, the restaurants, just perfect. We can't wait to go back and review our vows on the beach one day. We highly recoommend this resort for all couples looking for a beautiful atmosphere, a laid back relaxing setting and friendliness to the point you feel like you have known them for years.

“Galley Bay amazing--Delta Airline not!”

Galley Bay was an amazing experience. It is very quiet but absolutely beautiful. Liked that there was not blaring music around all the time--in fact--never. The food was incredible. The rooms great--with a view to die for. I could throw a rock into the sea, it was that close. Took us a while to wind down and get into the 'do nothing' mode. Overall, it was great. Some days, the service was a little off--mostly the hostesses in the Seagrape were often very dour and cranky. But, the number of cranky employees was small and the facility so great, it was easy to overlook. Oh yes, the service at Gaugain was not very good at all. We only went once because we had an 8:30 reservation one night and we didn't even get a drink until almost 9:00!Other than that...all was amazing and we hope to return. EXCEPT--Delta was awful. Every leg was late. They were not very cooperative in booking decent reroutes. The hotel room they gave us when we missed our flight was awful. Appeared to be a hooker or two in the lobby. It was in an area where mostly truckers stayed. The windows were dirty. It was terrible. Almost ruined a perfectly relaxing vacation. The good news is we were so relaxed when we left that it would take a lot more than an horrendous airline to bring us down. We have vowed never to fly Delta again.

“Excellent resort if you want to get away”

We went to the resort with some friends and were very happy with both the staff and the resort itself. The beach is outstanding, the rooms were great. Our friends had one small issue with their room that was fixed in an hour, which was great. The only item to be aware of is if you plan to explore the island, rent a car. Taxis don't make it to the resort often. A car would be easier. If you want food and fun on the beach, you are set.

“Paradise”

We loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms were clean and comfortable; the food was delicious. Most importantly, the beach location and view was amazing. It was everything we wanted in a Caribbean getaway!

“Peaceful Retreat, Can't Wait to Go Back”

Overall, quite an escape! Gorgeous location, friendly staff, and this place brings new meaning to a beach front room - 20 feet from the water! The water and the beach is truly stupendous but watch the coral as it makes it a little difficult to swim. I will bring special shoes next time! And, there will definitely be a next time (hopefully by then they hire a french baker - the food was great but someone needs to introduce them to true French bread)!!!
