“An anniversary trip”

We decided 5 years ago to visit the Hawksbill for our 25th wedding anniversary, and returned this year for the 30th. The hotel was just as we remembered it, despite its recent change of ownership. Our room was perfect, we could lie in bed each morning and watch the sea and the rock after which the hotel is named, as we drink our morning cup of tea.

“Looking forward to our next visit!”

Another great holiday with lovely people, from the reception staff to the watersports. So nice to be greeted by smiling faces all the time. As usual all food can be relied on to be of a good variety and standard. The hotel is undergoing some titivation and looking less neglected. This would never deter me from a sixth visit!Judging by the number of return visitors they must have something right.

“What a great place”

After the initial shock of no telephones in the rooms and no televisions in the rooms, this place is heaven. The staff couldn't be nicer. We will go back. We just won't bother with the portable computer. Didn't use it anyway

“Great time”

Great time at the resort, staff was great, food and drink was great and most everything connected to resort was great. BUT don't try to find the place by yourself. The Island has bad roads and are confusing with no road signs out and about. People are kind but hire a cab to go anywhere. Shopping is not that great it is better on St. Martin. I would go back to the resort but skip anything else to do with the island.

“a slice of paradise”

This hotel was our choice for the honeymoon. It has 4 beaches, all of which were beautiful. Each evening there was live music. Go all inclusive!!! The food was excellent, as well as the service. We will defintely return to Antigua and Hawksbill!

“Nice and Quiet”

We stayed for a much too short five days. This resort is quiet and peaceful. You get what you pay for and we get well worth our money. If you want a party, go somewhere else. If you want to relax and have a few drinks by the ocean, this might be your place. Other reviews complained about the birds; that is part of the caribbean! Selection of food was good. Although, you only had one restraunt to chose from. Fish at lunch was excellent. Most of staff was nice and friendly, except for bartender supervisor. Felt very safe the whole trip!

“Relaxing vacation”

Resort is very peaceful and relaxing, its huge property allows you to feel secluded on the beach with four separte beaches to choose from with clear blue water with free snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, and kyaking. The rooms are just a a little bungalow without A/C, Tele, or TV but with a cool seabreeze coming through its oversized windows, A/C was not needed. The open air also allowed the lapping of the waves and croaking frogs and gecko's sounds to soothe us to sleep. It was exactly what we wanted but if your looking for a party resort this was not for you! The food and drinks was all great as well. The taxi ride was about about thirty minutes and we paid 20 dollars. The taxi stand is right out side the terminal and very professional with upfront rates.

“Great peaceful, spacious and private loacation.”

This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and courteous, and were especially helpful when we asked for a room in the location of our choice. The grounds were particularly spacious and beautiful, the beaches were uncrowded and clean and the whole place well maintained. Our room had a spectacular view and was very private and quiet. The food was well above average when compared to other Rex hotels we have experienced and the ambience was good. The only slight downside was if staying with young children, the pool might be a little small. We absolutely loved our stay, thouroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, thought the 'all inclusive' was good value [without having to wear the usual ghastly wrist bands!] and would be keen to go back there, as we found many others regularly do.

“Secluded beach resort.”

This resort was located at a remote area but still close to town. Seemed very secluded which encouraged rest & relaxation while still having activities accessible.

“Another great holiday”

Despite obviously being hit by recession, the Hawksbill staff did their utmost to ensure that yet again we enjoyed out stay.More remedial work is ongoing to improve on what has been described as tired. I hope that things improve for them and what has been a "special" place is allowed to continue.
