“Adorable Cottages”

Lovely place to stay, quiet, sounds of the ocean, fragrant flowers, birds, wonderful place. Everything you need in the cottages, all kinds of appliances. Owners are very thoughtful and courteous. They take good care of you!

“A Wonderful Place.....”

The Yepton Estate Cottages were perfect for us. They are fully equipped, comfortable and clean. There are only four and they are located beside a salt pond that is teeming with bird life. It is just a short walk to the beach. Our hosts were knowledgable as well as gracious. We were very pleased.

“Excellent”

Others have said it all before, but we would confirm it. The accommodation and facilities were first rate, and Gariela and Douglas could not have been more helpful. We had a fabulous time.

“Can't Wait to Go Back, excellent host and hostess!”

We really enjoyed Yepton Estate Cottages. It meant all of our needs. You will definitely enjoy meeting Gabby and Douglas. They are wonderful host and hostess. They are four small cottages located on a salt water lagoon. The salt water lagoon has many types of birds in it. There is also a possibility of catching some fish. One of the guest actually caught a fish while we were there. There is a small pool centered between the cottages. We enjoyed laying by the pool and then taking a dip to cool off. Every one of the cottages has a outside barbeque to use. The cottages are fully equiped with all the necessary cooking essentials. Since we didn't rent a car, Gabby was more then willing to take us to the supermarket to get stocked up on some food. We really enjoyed lounging and relaxing at Yepton Estate Cottages. It's a short 5 to 10 minute walk to a sandy beach. We went to the beach at least every other day. We wanted to book some excursions and Gabby was more then willing to do this for us. Yepton Estate Cottages are a prefect place to just relax or as a jumping off point to explore beautiful Antigua and Barbuda. If you get a chance, we would recommend doing the day trip to Barbuda. It's a beautiful island and well worth the expense to see the pink sand. Overall, we had a great time at Yepton Estate Cottages and will recommend it to all of our friends.

“A little bit of paradise”

A great place to stay! Kitchen was furnished w/everything you need. Only 4 cottages on property...all w/view of lake...lots of wildlife. Only a few minutes walk to beach. You must have a rental car to explore the island!

“Just not long enough”

Yepton Cottages lived up to its amazing billing (and we had very high expectations). We knew it was going to be great even before we set off with helpful advice from Gaby about getting there and pre-booking supplies. From the first welcome they were great but unobtrusive hosts. We took up the offer to go to the supermarket and the tips on local food. We booked a car through them to explore the island and check out their recommendations about beaches and restaurants and Douglas's map explanation (there really is no reliable map!) We stayed in No 2 which is a very big space with everything in plus a good sized bathroom. Two have two rooms but are more expensive. We couldn't think of anything not there already. The setting is lovely with a small pool to cool off in or sit by and the lake to look out over. I spotted 20 or so different types of birds almost all unknown to me (but Douglas's book helped). I don't know how they have done it but it is a true haven on a beautiful island with amazing beaches all round. We'll be back!

“One of the best holidays we've ever had - can't recommend highly enough”

We wondered if all the great reviews had somehow been doctored but having just returned after two fabulous weeks, we can honestly say what a wonderful time we've had. The cottages at Yepton are peaceful, well equipped and in lovely grounds. Gabie and Douglas are not only great fun but more helpful than we could possibly explain. We felt like we were staying with really good friends - not just hosts. Staying at the cottages gives the option of self catering (inc. bbq) if hotel food isn't your thing, or eating out (there are more than enough great places). We enjoyed the fact that we weren't cooped up with lots of others in a hotel, scrambling for sunbeds etc. but could also chat to (or have a drink with) the other guests. We rarely give top marks to anything but I'd happily give Yepton Cottages 6 out of 5!

“Unique Experience”

Home, away from home! Very quiet surroundings. Extremely clean and cozy. Cottages are brand new, so are all the appliances and household items. Eco-friendly cottages. Physically-challenged friendly cottages. Close contact with nature; (Mongooses, Iguanas, Birds, etc). There's a beautiful lake on the premises. Swimming pool is excellent for kids. Management is impeccably friendly with years of experience in the hospitality field and in Antigua as well. Thank you Gabriela and Douglas for everything. Our trip couldn't be more pleasant without you.

“This is the place!”

Our stay at Yepton was perfect. We were welcomed not only by cozy lakeside cottages, but also the warm hospitality of Gaby And Douglas with whom we became fast friends. Yepton is not a commercialized hotel, it's a few intimate cottages (perfect for those looking for a more private vacation) run by two incredible hosts who showed us around and while they built a close personal rapport with us they were never intrusive - in fact they were one of the highlights of our trip. The cottages are cozy, with a full kitchen and BBQ so you can cook if you want (we ate out sometimes and other times cooked our own meals with fresh local produce). The lake there is pretty (and you can fish) and it’s only a few minute walk to the beach on the other side. We decided not to rent a car, but Gaby was gracious enough to let us catch rides with her into town to get groceries. The beaches are beautiful, and I highly recommend going during low season - we went in June and sometimes had gorgeous beaches all to ourselves! We've been to several Caribbean islands, and each has its high points, but between our hosts’ hospitality, the intimate cottages, beautiful beaches, great seafood and friendly people, this trip was overall one of our favorite Caribbean experiences. Yepton is the perfect place for privacy, and our stay would not have been complete without Gaby and Douglas. We will certainly visit Antigua again in the future and would not stay anywhere but Yepton.

“Wonderful Escape in the Caribbean”

W e spent over two weeks in Yepton Cottages in February this year. The cottages were extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated and well appointed with an excellent range of cooking equipment, TV and HiFi. The regular and thorough cleaning was carried out diligently and unobtrusively. The complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connection was very useful for the 2+ weeks that we stayed there. The site is absolutely peaceful, with fascinating birdlife and attractive lake on the doorstep. Nearby beaches and the town of St Johns provide the extremes of leisure and interest. The experience is topped by the kind and thoughtful attention offered by the hosts - Gabriella and Doug. They provided detailed information about the island and its history as well as more material things when required. Fully recommended.
