Pros: Breakfast and the antiques everywhere
Cons: replace radiators with original period radiators and improve the plumbing - upgrade the wifi
Location: Close to everywhere we wanted to be - we were on an ancestor hunt and visiting cemeteries and therefore chose it for its location
Its a beautiful house - ideal as a setting for a Downton Abbey type film - massive Victorian furniture mingles with Louis 14th style - amazing jacuzzi - servants bells - lovely to look at but spoiled by modern white radiators - very spooky at nights but worth a night to enjoy the ambience - great breakfast and lovely staff/owner Its a great conversation piece - stayed there with American and a Canadian cousins and we all loved it.

Very GoodPosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Set in a nice rural location the house is beautiful but in slight need of renovation.Having said that I think it added to the charm. I will use it again.

Aaaaarrrrrhhhhh !Posted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was out of the was and totally not signed enough to find. It doesn't even have a sign on it. There was no one there when I got there. I had to wait for ages and ended up having to hunt inside for someone. The room was old and cold, no hot water for a bath, no working tv for my full stay.

close to airportPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
I enjoyed my stay. There was a pitch and a trampoline on which the children could play. The host was very helpful and considerate. Would be a particular good place to stay for those with animals

Close to motorway so not too much narrow roadsPosted Jun 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room and hotel clean and comfortable. Service excellent and accomodating (no real set time for breakfast, fitted themselves to my time area). Well located not too far from motorway and has livery available for someone going to horse shows in area. Also self catering bungalows so pets are OK.

Homely and friendlyPosted May 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and daughter. It was a very comfortable and lovely place to stay at. The owners Gale and June were so welcoming and also made the best breakfast ever. The location of the hotel was great with most of the tourist sites just a short drive away. Would love to stay here again some time.

Excellent Service and Hotel.Posted Mar 29, 2013
Pros: good service, room with speedy internet access.
Cons: could have added one more radiator to warm up room faster.
When I first arrived, I was welcomed by the hostess, Gale. She was very nice and friendly. During the stay, I was not disturbed by the neighbours as I stayed in Hotel Romulus, Rome. It was very quiet and she offered me early breakfast, at 6 am in the morning as I happened to leave early to go to University. If the house was upgraded, it will be 5 star hotel. The breakfast was great, though, I had egg, beans and toast with delicious coffee. What do you want more, at economy price and good service. I will definitely recommend a friend to stay over.
