“A superb place to stay”
The Aparthotel Van Hecke is situated right in the heart of Antwerp in a great area, just 5mins from the main square and Cathedral. The quality of finish in the room was great and much better than hotels which cost double the price! The beds were extremely comfortable and there was plenty of space for four adults to share without wanting to kill each other! By far the best attraction of the hotel is the Serbian family who help to run the hotel and own the award-winning waffle house on the ground floor (In fact the oldest and best in Antwerp - and truly delicious). They were extremely welcoming and gave our stay an intimate feel that you just don't get when you stay in a hotel chain. You can also get parking in a secure park house nearby for only 10euros. This beats the usual 18 euro parking fee for 24hrs for most park houses in the city. I will be staying in the Aparthotel Van Hecke again in November and plan to make it my regular hotel each time I visit the city.
