Large apartment but very noisyPosted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Very spacious, handy for station, excellent views.
Cons: Storage in bathroom and second bedroom, bedside lamp in second bedroom, put a lock on bathroom door, larger bath towels.
Location: Close to the station so perfect if you arrive by train. A pleasant 15 minute walk to the old town centre.
The apartment was good and bad in parts, like the proverbial curate's egg. The weather was very hot so we had to have the windows open, but the street noise was absolutely terrible (day and night) as the apartment is on a very busy city junction and noise seems to travel upwards. We had to wear ear plugs to sleep, so if you are a light sleeper, be warned. On the plus side, the apartments are well located for arrival by train, have great city views, are very spacious and have a stylish minimalist vibe with some rather well-meaning but unskilled attempts at sculpture made from paper darts, paper bags and old rope. However, the flats are not very thoughtfully designed: we stayed in D2 where the second bedroom just had two beds and a small table with no storage whatsoever (not even a hook on the back of the door) and you had to use a wardrobe right at the other end of the corridor. This bedroom also had no bedside lamp and when we asked for one we were told that it was broken and they didn't have another one to spare, even though they sell them in the shop. The main (double) bedroom is gloomy as it is really an internal room, with a window that looks onto a tiny dingy light-well, although at least this means it is quieter. There is no lock on the bathroom door and nowhere to put anything so I had to used the tumble drier as a cupboard. The shower hose on the bath had a hole in it and there was no shower curtain, so I soaked the bathroom when I used it.

Well beyond expectationsPosted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
WOW. We were amazed when we walked in to the apartment (a two bed/one bath apt with large open kitchen/dining/living room combo). Coco-Mat is basically an upscale furniture/mattress store located on the ground floor, and then run the apartments in the building - so they're really beautifully furnished and the beds are super comfortable. It's NOT a typical hotel and there's a late check-in fee if you check in after 6pm (when the shop on the ground floor closes), but we had so much space and a beautiful view. The apartments are a super short walk down the main drag in front of the train station, and then it's about 10-15 more minutes by foot to the historic center. So convenient. Note there's no maid service during your stay, so you have to hang up your towels and make your bed, but we didn't mind. There was even a washer dryer for our clothes! Will absolutely stay here again.

Great design, kitchen and bathroom are equipped with everything. Beds are excellent. Love the pillow menu. Location is central. Good for short and longer term stay. We will stay there again on our next trip to Antwerp.

Ideal for a family and next to the train stationPosted Apr 3, 2013
Cons: No English tv channels
The lady at reception couldnt have been more charming and answered all of our questions patiently. The only gripe was the lack of dvd or coffee maker (tea only). Otherwise superb - the beds are amazing

A true home from home. Even a bottle or 2 of wine in the fridge as a welcome. Very close to the city centre and adjacent parking.
