Clean, modern, well located hotel.Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
the stay was good overall. However, the pool is not open in the morning and one of the members of staff did not appear to be very knowledgeable about the hotel and facilities.

Hotel Mercure Vé Mechelen, Jul 2013Posted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was very clean and comfy. Located in a vibrant street with lots of pavement cafe's. Hotel is very Quirky, Receptionists pleasant. However the service in the Bar was non existent, Room Service did not answer phone, and Breakfast expensive, which let it down.

Nice, modern, comfortable hotel in MechelenPosted Jul 19, 2013
The hotel's location is perfect, by the river where there is some action (considering Mechelen). Very friendly staff and nicely decorated room with comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was above average. Recommended for short stays in Mechelen.

Great, apart from a lack of hot water at a couple of awkward times - quickly sorted out.

All Things GoodPosted May 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room, front desk and location were all fine. The only two problems were 1. There is no fridge in the room. We'll there is, but its so small you would think it ran of a couple of AAA batteries. A couple cans of beer and its full and doesn't get very cold. 2. There was this damp smell (second floor room in the corner). Now I am not sure if this came from the pipes overhead or the bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room and the water from the shower soaked the bathmat and occasionally actually got onto the carpet in the room. Other than that would definitely recommend it.

Best Hotel In MechelenPosted Mar 19, 2012
I have stayed in alot of hotels in Mechelen over the years and Teh Mecure V is the best!Great Hotel wonderful venue. Lovely restaurants close by and very near to teh grand market Only comment is that if you are needing to take your car, you need to park at the secure parking near the Novotel, (just past the NH hotel) accessed via Brussels Port at the West of Mechelen. The parking is great very secure and near to the hotel! But don't plug in the address of the V to the Sat nav try the NH or the Novotel, or you will be like me taking 1 hour to travel 2 miles only to find you are parked outside the hotel having travelled down a restricted road!

It's OK....Posted Mar 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
To keep it brief; The hotel is OK but let me make it clear that it is certainly nothing special. Sure it is quirky but nothing more than that. Reception staff were very friendly, it's just a shame that the girl running the bar was not. She could not have been any more unfriendly if she had tried. Anyway, the location is quite nice and my superior room was ok if not a little dark. I would maybe try some where else if I ever had to go back to Mechelen again. Internet connection is not included in the cost of the room which is crazy these days, especially when having a "Superior" room.

MERCURE MECHELE VEPosted Oct 20, 2011 on Hotels.com
Modern style hotel situated in lively Vismarkt. Good standard of cleanliness and good choice at breakfast. Complimentary apples and a drink! Close to the town centre for sightseeing and restaurants, but can be difficult to find thanks to the roadworks and one-way streets.
