Decent hotel, friendly service

The hotel has obviously been through an update recently and the decor is fresh and modern throughout. The room was clean and spacious and fairly quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was nice, within easy walking distance of the town and some bars / restaurants on the doorstep. There was a coffee machine and some coffee pods for it, but it would have been nice to have a kettle and some other options for a hot drink as well. The bathroom wasn't great, being designed as a sort of wet room, which meant it was impossible to have a shower without getting water everywhere and having to mop up afterwards. My main issue was the charge for the pool (cheapest in the 'discount hours' at 9 Euro). This is completely over the top, in fact, when a hotel has facilities such as this and I've paid for a room I wouldn't expect to be charged extra to use them.

Very nice hotel in a very interesting building. Room was immaculate, service was very good, a little bit more than I would expect to pay for this level of Hotel but that might be just Belgium. Parking across the river was expensive per night.

the stay was good overall. However, the pool is not open in the morning and one of the members of staff did not appear to be very knowledgeable about the hotel and facilities.

Room was very clean and comfy. Located in a vibrant street with lots of pavement cafe's. Hotel is very Quirky, Receptionists pleasant. However the service in the Bar was non existent, Room Service did not answer phone, and Breakfast expensive, which let it down.

The hotel's location is perfect, by the river where there is some action (considering Mechelen). Very friendly staff and nicely decorated room with comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was above average. Recommended for short stays in Mechelen.

The room, front desk and location were all fine. The only two problems were 1. There is no fridge in the room. We'll there is, but its so small you would think it ran of a couple of AAA batteries. A couple cans of beer and its full and doesn't get very cold. 2. There was this damp smell (second floor room in the corner). Now I am not sure if this came from the pipes overhead or the bathroom. The bathroom is a wet room and the water from the shower soaked the bathmat and occasionally actually got onto the carpet in the room. Other than that would definitely recommend it.

Great location (in middle of town) with loads of good bars and Restuarant in short walking distance.
