Good Hotel in a central location

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: central location and value for money
Stayed for a weekend and , from previous experience , requested a room NOT overlooking the market ( otherwise risk being woken by its being set up!). Reception staff advised that there were demolition works next door and suggested a room overlooking the courtyard which ,it turned out , avoided both noise sources over the weekend. An enjoyable stay

Room was a little small but well kept hotel

This hotel was in a great location right in the middle of Antwerp. The lobby and hotel bar are nice. Furnishings are modern and comfortable. The room is a tad on the small side though, especially the bathroom. But we were happy to be staying here for a few nights.

Classic Ibis, Close to everything

Posted Dec 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
A classic Ibis Hotel that is a short walk from the Centraal train station, near the main shopping street and next to a weekend market square. Staff was fine but disinterested. The room was small but clean and new with a comfy bed. Bars, a bakery and small restaurants in the immediate area. We walked down the hill to the central square in about 15 minutes -- good value.

small rooms but comfy bed

Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: It's location
Cons: breakfast, wifi speed, rooms climate controls
Location: There are a bunch of sites and restaurants near by
Here are some of my experiences in point form: The room was EXTREMELY small and contained nothing but the bare necessities ( minus a clock ). The rooms air conditioning unit didn't seem to work. The rooms remote control for the tv was busted. The rooms key card continuously failed and required me to get a new card almost on a daily basis. The bed was actually comfy but the blanket was made for colder temperatures and was therefore to hot in the warmer days. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room and was pretty disappointing. The bar is open pretty much 24/7. The wifi internet connection was pretty slow. The hotel is located close to the center part of the city
