“Good choice near the station”

If you are looking for a moderately priced hotel near Antwerp Central station, the the Agora should suffice. It's just two minutes' walk from the station (and zoo), facing onto a square with regular tram and bus services to the rest of the city. As noted by some other reviewers, the breakfast is a little basic, but it's included in the room cost and includes a good selection of rolls, bread and cold meats. There are numerous snack bars and cafes in the area open until late at night.

“Good value”

Perfectly adequate facilities for short stay at good price with everything you basically need. Rooms fronting square can be a bit noisy at night and hot on sunny morning as facing east. Situated by Centraal Station so good position if travelling by train and 15 mins walk to Grote Markt and attractions and many restaurants.

“A value for money Hotel in Antwerp”

We recently needed to travel to Antwerp. The Agora Hotel was an excellent choice at a very affordable price. Close to the main station and shopping. All new facilities, very clean and friendly, helpful staff. We stayed in Winter and there is superb heating, however as there is NO airconditioning, suggest Summer may be a different situation.

“Would certainly return”

Hotel is in easy to find location on the square outside Antwerp Centraal train station and the bus/tram transport links to the rest of Antwerp are very close. A 10-15 minutes walk from Grote Markt but only 5 minutes from the start of the Meir (main shopping street) Breakfast was basic, but self-service buffet. I was in room 801 which was next to the cleaner's supply room so I got an unexpected early morning call just before 7am when she started preparing the trolley for her housekeeping route. This actually suited my purposes very well so was not a problem.

“Very impressed”

Very good clean rooms. The staff very helpful. I have a medical condition/machine that required the use of an extension lead. The hotel did not have one. When I came back in the afternoon they had gone out nad purchased one. The room was very clean and I was very impressed by the en suite. The staff were very helpful especially the evening gentleman who was very informative. the two ladies on reception were very helpful especially for the extension lead

hotel is very basic but also very well kept in terms of cleanliness and presentation. A very good hotel for short business trips in an excellant location for restraunts and bars

“Great place to stay”

The Agora hotel is centrally located with paid parking in an underground car park. It is a few minutes walk from the cathedral and many tourist destinations. The rooms are comfortable and clean and a continental breakfast is included. There is a supermarket next door, and many restaurants nearby.

“Location, location, location”

This is a good hotel two minutes from the Antwerp Central Staion and very close to the Zoo, trams and buses. A food store is right next to the hotel and many restaurants can be found in the side streets. If you want to shop for diamonds, many stores are within walking distance, offering a wide selection at good prices. Rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast buffet is good, even if we would have preferered some Danish. Internet was sporadic (even with a cable in the room). WIFI is available, however, we had to sit in the lobby to have a good connection. When mentioning this to the front desk, we were reimbursed. Check-out was smooth. If you can, ask for a room on one of the upper floors at the front of the hotel. You will have a great view and not be bothered too much by the noise. Recommend this hotel and will go back there.

“Weekend break in Antwerp - Budget Hotels”

The Hotel Agora is a really decent Budget hotel in a handy location - a 15 minute walk from the historic centre of town. The hotel is clean and modern, the staff are also helpful and friendly.
