Beautiful hotel. Would have been nice to see even more original parts of the old church.

poor quility Breakfast

Posted Sep 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice Hotel, nice staff, short walk to some nice restaurants. The hotels restaurant was closed for evening meals, probably won't have eaten anyway. 20 Euros for a very poor quality breakfast, reconstituted scrambled eggs and streaky oily bacon, stewed coffee absolutely horrible. Won’t go back

Lovely church conversion

Interesting church conversation with all mod cons. Limited choice for hotels.com booking we wanted two beds but unavailable. Excellent staff tip top for kindness and helping two tourists around the place.

Best in Mechelen

Posted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is amazing to see, housed in a former cathedral. The rooms are interestingly shaped and elements of the original decor have been preserved. Comfortable and great service -- definitely the best hotel in Mechelen. I also appreciated the happy hour snacks and nice breakfast. It is a little hard to find the first time you go there, as it is tucked away in a neighborhood away from the main street. But very close to restaurants and shopping.

Clean, comfortable hotel with good location

Posted Feb 6, 2013
Location: Close to downtown square and the rail station
Convenient to rail station and beautiful downtown square. I found it convenient to travel to both Antwerp and Brussels. Unique experience to stay in a church converted to a hotel. I stayed in a standard cozy room which was very spacious.

Stunning building

Posted Aug 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
A wonderful re-imagining of a beautiful old building. Parking can be a bit of a challenge on street is limited and hotel is costly, free 1 hour internet is useful but costs for longer connection for extended working are on the high side. Location is quiet but within a few minutes walk of the bustling heart of a city that deserves to be visited more. Cosy room was more spacious than was expected, double bed created from two single beds was a bit of a challenge.

Excellent Hotel

I love the mix of history and modern. It's well run, clean, and the staff is kind. Mechelen is the perfect place to stay if you are flying in late to Brussels

Not great. wouldnt stay again unless i had to.

Staff were not helpful. Asked one if they could help with the room service menu and was told "i dont know what that means, i just work here." Room was very noisy. Air conditioning was loud and inconsistant. No restaurant in hotel for dinner.
