Perfect location but a little run down
The Heritage is in a fantastic location, right on the lake and only a short Tuk-Tuk ride from the historic sites. We were greeted with friendly staff who were helpful. However we felt the place was a little run down and not very clean.

Good base to explore the city.
This is quite a large hotel, but not many guests were staying when we were there. The rooms were well loved but clean. The service was great and the staff were happy enough to open up the pool bar and sports bar for us to have a pre dinner drink. The staff even organised for us to hire bikes, so we could ride around the lake and visit the temples. The pool was great for a cool down at the end of the day. There is not much in the way of restaurants around the hotel, but the food in the hotel is delicious and affordable.

The Swimming Pool was not in operation (I booked this hotel mainly because of the Swimming Pool). The Minibar was not working (when complaining, they came and told it was working even though it was not getting cold). It was a wet bathroom as the water splashes out of the shower cubicle. Even though I checked-in at 9pm I was asked to leave at noon or pay Rs.2,500 for every hour I stay.

Location by the lake. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom was clean but there was a small water leak. I only stayed for one night and did not bother asking them to fix it. Did let them know there was a leak when leaving and they were very sorry about it and asked why i did not let them know earlier.

Felt this hotel has great potential as the grounds are beautiful and the lobby is as well. The pool was great although it had a poolside bar but no one attending it. The room was spacious but very worn as well as the towels and bedding. It was clean enough. The bathroom had a very strong odor - not sure if it was an air freshener but it was very overwhelming. The food was average. The service was friendly. But was just disappointed for the missing upkeep of this hotel

Perfect place for your Anuradhapura excursions
Great service from the minute we stepped in. We were a little late for lunch but the staff accommodated us anyways. If you’re visiting Anuradhapura this is a great place to stay.

Friendly staff, very good breakfast, would have liked if fresh fruit juice was served for breakfast, wallpaper in reastaurant tearing off. Confusion about assigning drivers quarters.

requested lake view room. However diss-pointed that room does not have lake view, however considering environment, it is better they built the hotel out of lake. But next time better they explain it.

Nice place, good service, value for money
Service was really great as they worked hard to get us in a room when we showed up early and tired from a flight. Plus the room, amenities and general service was one of the nicest we stayed in during our trip in Sri Lanka. It’s not a luxury resort but it’s Great value for money

Service very poor & wouldn’t recommend.
We called reception for assistance and room service but it was very poor as they wouldn’t send any staff up to the room for a ridiculous amount of time. Also in one of our rooms the tv wasn’t working but they wasn’t able to fix it For the 3 days we stayed there. Overall wasn’t great but would not recommend to a friend.

Hotel need renovation.Not clean.Better reception.
When we check in at the hotel. They did not have our reservation. We had 3 room book for 3 couple and they gave our room we book to different guest. It was their head office fault. Hotel need renovation. Food was not that good. The room was not that clean. They gave us free dinner because of the mistake they have done. Pool was good. In order to get more tourist this hotel need to doa complete renovation.

Overall this hotel was good. However there were two bad things about this hotel. Firstly the food was terrible, no taste at all. Secondly there were almost no cold water in the shower, so either you will burn from hot water or u will have to shower with little to no water

It was overpriced, untrained staff. No wifi in the rooms. The room condition was so bad we had to change the room. No view of the lake. I don't recommend it.

Value for money Good breakfast spread Beautiful surroundings and fantastic view from the room and balcony Genuinely friendly staffs fast check in and checkout Need improvements in below areas, Shower and Bath Handle should be Replaced/Upgraded in the room I stayed Door lock was hard to turn. It would be good if the Hotel supply power using a generator when the power is gone.

Pleasant hotel.
I had a nice stay at this hotel. Comfortable and reasonably priced. Lovely pool (see below). The staff were friendly and helpful. They called me when I didn't attend breakfast and then delivered a lovely breakfast to my room. I visited the most important sites of Anuradhapura in one afternoon/evening. It was a memorable experience and there was a lot to see.

Hotel was adequate but there were some shortcomings, which we mentioned to the staff who promised to rectify them, e.g. some items such as bedside lamps and soap holders, had fallen off and not been re-fixed. Items such as spoons and crockery was not replaced in time in the dining room, though they were promptly replaced when it was pointed out. Staff was friendly and helpful and room was fine. Location, close to the Lake was very good.

bon sejour avec personnel accueillant
nous avons passé 2 jours en famille dans cet hôtel accueillant ,beau jardin et belle piscine, belle vue sur le lac et les stupas en sortant de l’hôtel un peu déçue du buffet trop épicé pour les étrangers que nous sommes !

隠れ家のような場所にあるホテル
泊まる分には問題ありません。 早朝チェックアウトする旨を伝え、朝食をパケットで用意してもらうよう頼みましたが、カウンターに従業員はおらず、チェックアウトすらできない状態でした。もちろん朝食はなし。 へんぴな場所にあるためそこのレストランで食事しましたが、料理がでで来るのがとても遅かったです。確か30分は待ちました。 泊まる分には十分良い部屋ですが、WiFiも弱く、従業員に＋アルファのサービスを求めてはいけません。
