Almyrida is a lovely small town and Niriides is the perfect place to stay. Value for money, clean and comfortable accommodation 1 minute walk from the beach side tavernas. I would recommend to anybody looking for a peaceful and relaxing family holiday.

Beautiful, clean Hotel close to beach.Posted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: How friendly the family were. The rooms were ideal for what we wanted and we have never been to a place so clean, it was wonderful all round.
Cons: Oh I wouldn't want to improve anything.
Location: Supermarket right outside. Lovely bakery across the road and plenty of restaurants along the beach that was only a 2 minute walk down the road.
The hotel was situated in a brilliant position, close to the beach and everything you need to have a great holiday. Very very clean and very very friendly family run place. Ideal for children as we have 2 boys, the pool was great for them. We will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent aparthotel great locationPosted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: The great attititude of the owner and staff. Clean Lovely pool
Location: Restaurants Small sandy beach, great when we were there, probably crowded in season. Lovely walks to nearby villages
Very homely establishment, very friendly. Well maintained rooms all with balconys. Lovely clean swimming pool. The situation was great, on the edge of the village only 200 metres from plenty of eating houses and the sea-front. Well worth a visit. Our first visit to Crete but we will return. Almyrida a lovely small town, plenty of places to eat even though it was October, the weather was excellent and as it was so quiet it was really relaxing with everyone totally laid back. The local bus stopped outside the hotel and ran into Chania 4 times a day, only 2euro 90cents each way. Lovely walks in and around the area.

Great pool, friendly obliging proprietor, short distance to beach, good bread/cake shop opposite. Variety of 'supermarkets' close by. Next to bus stop, yet quiet. Iron and hairdryer supplied. Beach towels can be rented. We will return again.

great hotel in CretePosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: The owner, Nektarius, was always around to answer questions and help. the rooms were well thought out and clean and contained everything you need
Location: perfect location for beach, shops and restaurants. Bus stop outside or hire car facilities in the village. Chania is superb
this hotel ticks all the boxes for a very relaxing break. The bakery is opposite, the supermarket is 2mins walk and the beach a 5 min walk. there are numerous restaurants along the sea front for lunch or supper. the sea seems very clean and clear. The apartments are cleaned daily and contain all you need for a holiday. On arrival there is wine, water and fruit in the fridge. There is a beautiful pool right outside the rooms. The owner could not be nicer or more helpful. We hired a car from the airport in Chania, but you don't need it at all in Almiryda

Good place to stayPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Location. Staff. Pool. Room. Cleanliness. Good A/C much appreciated (outside temperatures 30-35C when we were there).
Cons: Shower a bit small (as elsewhere in Greece, in my experience).
Location: Chania worth the bus ride, 2.90 euro each way. Comfy bus. Drive to Agia Lake (for bird watching). Didn't do much else as too hot.
Very clean room and facilities in general. Lovely pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Felt welcome. Convenient location right by shops, bakery and bus stop (to Chania). Parking nearby easy. Had a room on the upper floor overlooking pool - nice outlook and cool as north facing. Only snag was we found the road a bit noisy during the day though no problem in the evening and at night. Only a short walk to the beach and restaurants etc. Quiet resort - were not constantly pestered when walking by restaurants, unlike some busier resorts elsewhere in Crete.

great place to stayPosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
This family run apartments were the best we could have hoped for! The owner was so helpful the room great pool good beach nearby Sandy and safe. Nearby restaurants supermarket with everything you could need. Welcome fruit wine and water in room. We asked owner to arrange cabs which he did waiting for us at airport although our flight was late getting into Crete by two hours. On our return to airport we had a call from owner telling us we had left a phone charger in our room he offered to bring it to airport!! We said it was fine as we have spares. What service!! We highly recommend.

Perfect hotel for a family.Posted Jul 3, 2013
Location: Almyrida is the perfect resort for a family with young children. The beach is safe and protected from the wind.
This was an excellent hotel and we had a fantastic holiday. The rooms and all of the other facilities, including the pool, were spotless and in a very good state of repair. The hotel is ideally situated just a block back form the beach, close enough to make access easy but far enough away to be quiet.

Excellent place to stay for a holidayPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: Clean, great location, good facilities and helpful friendly owner.
Location: Ideal, near all the facilities of Almyrida, close to supermarkets, quiet. Great for exploring the rest of Crete.
The Niriides Apartments are an excellent place to stay and spend a holiday. The apartments are clean, well maintained and spacious. The business is family owned and the owner is always on site and is extremely friendly and helpful. He offered to arrange a taxi for us prior to our arrival and had left a bowl of fruit, a bottle of water and a bottle of wine for us in our room We arrived at 11pm and this was no trouble and we received a warm welcome. The swimming pool is excellent and well maintained, it is a popular place to relax. The location is also excellent, there are two small supermarkets literally on the doorstep which sell all normal supplies including fresh fruit and vegetables. There's is an excellent and friendly bakery directly opposite and there is plenty of space to park a car in the quiet road running outside the apartments. You are also only a two minutes walk from the beaches and restaurants. Overall the the Niriides is an excellent place to stay and the owner works hard to make it so. We would definitely stay again.
