The front lobby of the hotel reeked of weed. The hotel room was grubby and there was mouse poop behind the bathroom door. The rooms were supposed to be non-smoking, but there was smoke pouring in from surrounding rooms. Neighbors and parking lot was loud all night.

I have NEVER been treated badly by a hotel as I was here for which I am requesting full credit of my charges. I will never recommend this property.I was in town for a family funeral, check in the first day went well. On the second day, upon my return from a funeral I found the lobby dark, no one at the front desk, later learned there was a power outage.I called the desk from the room phone but there was no power, then from my cell phone but no one answered despite several calls.Going to the front desk, follwing a large black man who was upset about the poiwer outage as he lost internet connection. Not knowing if he used the front desk phone to call the attendant as noted by a sign at the front desk, so I called out IS ANYONE HERE? With no response,I slapped my palm on the counter twice, finally a man followed by a woman came from the office behind the front desk asking what we needed.We responded that we wanted to know about the power and were told it was out for Appleton. I said I just drove through Appleton and there was power.Likewise nearby businesses had power.I then said that my room had not been cleaned or linens changed and was told they dont provde housekeeping services.I asked why, but was told they dont.The man then began to berate me for slapping on the counter, telling me not to do that, to use the phone; we both said the phones dont work! He then told me to get out, that I cant act as I did towards him!I was outraged and stated that.Please contact me directly.

This was the scariest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, definitely not worth it for saving a little money. Felt very unsafe and the pictures they have are not an accurate representation of this property.

I booked this property on the cheaper end and says they have a pool, they do not have the pool even filled. So I checked out within 10 mins of check in to stay at another hotel and it was non refundable. Do not advertise that you have a pool when you do not!

Total disappointment. Very sketchy and smelt like weed everywhere. Appears to offer long term rentals to locals and was very run down. In desperate need of an overhaul and quite frankly a should not even be listed as an option for lodging in the area.

READ THE REVIEWS AND STAY AWAY!
Don’t make the same mistake I did and book this place. Don’t know when they took the pictures on hotels.com - but they definitely were not taken within the past 40 years. I arrived to the hotel in a sketchy part of Appleton and found a parking lot that was completely riddled with deep potholes. I. front of the building were a group of about a dozen men and women huddled together smoking (evidently the back part of the hotel is also a shelter of some kind). I went in the lobby and immediately smelled dankness and noticed a number of notices written in Sharpie. after waiting a couple of minutes some guy finally came to the desk and I told him I would not be staying at the property because I did not feel safe. He said they would be charging me anyway because I was cancelling the reservation the day of. I pushed back and said I wanted to speak with a manager. He replied that the owner was on site, took my number, and said he would call me later that day. I never did receive a call, but they went ahead and billed my cc anyway, which I will be disputing with the card issuer. Do yourself a favor - read the reviews and find a reputable property. This hotel bills itself a Wyndham property. If that is actually true, Wyndham needs to either invest in bringing this place up to its standards or divest itself of it asap. I booked it because I have stayed at Wyndham hotels in the past and found them modern, clean, and safe. This place is NONE of those things - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Burn holes in bedding, the smell was absolutely horrible. Staff was rude, pool is out of service. Seen another post that it was out of service a month ago. Seen ants in the bathtub. Also read another post that a women had ants crawling over her baby. I explained all this to the front desk and they refused a refund. We did not stay the night.

This place pools was broken and they had the audacity to tell me they weren't raising the prices because of a game 2 cities over. They definitely don't get repeat customers. Who only gives a room with 2 beds 2 towels, and then complains when we ask for more? No breakfast, staff were terrible from the desk to maid. NEVER AGAIN! We have family in Appleton and will be back starting at a better place not for crackheads

This propert was run down. Rooms are being rented by the month from people. No pool, breakfast was cereal only and kwik trip bread. Very unpleasant. I would be embarrassed if i was wyngates to have my name on this property.

First of all they should have stated somewhere in the ads that the pool is not working so we know ahead of time before booking, because there's no pool for the kids to swim. Secondly the 2nd floor of the hotel where I stay smell Marijuana all day and even during in the middle of the night. The smoke free should have been for everyone.

Sadly to pool was temporarily out of order. Its an old hotel with some new modifications. The bathroom was newer, the beds were good. The lobby is newer and outdated and paint is interesting! No free ciffe or popcorn even though their was a sign stafing so. Continential breakfast was ruff/ok. They need more options. $100/night is a littke pricy. Bathtub had pubic hairs and dirty wall by sink. Smaller sized tvs. Hotel had dust in some areas. Nice outdoor lighting. Overall it was just an ok place with a wierd vibe!

This is a decent hotel with comfortable and updated rooms. It's about a mile off I-41, very convenient to several strip mall stores and to the older downtown part of Appleton. The pool is inop right now and the breakfast very basic, but I would stay here again.

The rooms smelled like cigarettes even though they’re “non-smoking” but they were able to change our rooms. Once the smell issue was resolved, the cleanliness of the room was poor. There were hairs stuck to the shower walls and they only provided 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 nights for a family of 4. They also didn’t have antibacterial hand soap. The breakfast was very limited and very early. I was disappointed with this place.

Room was clean, and the A/C worked. The rest of the property was less cleanly. Stains on carpeting and a mildew smell in the hallway. The free "breakfast" consisted of a toaster with a couple loaves of bread and a few bananas. There was also a cooler with a jug of juice, milk, and a few yogurt cups. They had a waffle iron, but the batter dispenser was empty when I got there. The pool was "closed for maintenance" and there was no staff at the desk when we arrived at check-in time, 3pm. The parking lot and surrounding roads were strewn with potholes. Everything about the place screamed that they were skimping on all amenities to save costs.

Property in horrible condition. Many unsavory characters outside smoking by all exit doors. As far as the room went, OMG. Sheets were dingy and horribly wrinkled and I had little faith that they had been washed. Pillows and cases were dirty. The poor fitting bottom sheet was on inside out so i slept in my clothes. Tissue holder was filthy, bath door appeared to have been hit with a fist, grout in shower tile looked as though never scrubbed. No water pressure in sink.Tried to be nice with my 1st review to Expedia (not good but not bad ) but when we came back at the end of the day, somehow both of our room keys had been disabled. I went to the front desk, no one was there. They have a desk phone with a sign that asked that we dial "0" for service but it was so filthy I wouldn't dare put it up to my face. After ringing zero over and over for 10 minutes, a man identifying himself as the manager finally arrived and proceeded to berate me for not holding the phone and speaking to him. He then began arguing with me about the 1st review i gave to Expedia. Telling me that i shouldn't have given the ratings I did because if I had read EVERYTHING on the Expedia page I would have known that there was additional fee for pets and that pool area was closed. I honestly believe he intentionally disabled our key cards to force us to have this conversation with him. He even had the gall to say " I'm not mad at you, but..." I was so angry but afraid to mention all the problems with the room.

We were not able to drive into the property, we had to drive through dumpsters of another business to get to the hotel parking lot. None of the stated amenities were available (no pool, no sauna, limited breakfast menu). No elevator. Room was as pictured and the bathroom was clean and the lighting in the bathroom was really good.
