Very Very Disappointed!!!Posted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Saying goodbye and not worring about ever going back!!!
Cons: Complete overhaul of everything.
From the first time stepping into the office area we were over taken by the smell of something they used to cover up old odors. Desk attendant busy with her kid. Another lady yelling at another person and swore at the father of the kid. Open window to let fresh air into room and no screen, two hornets flew in and had to take care of that first. Went down and talked to the attendance husband/boyfriend that I wanted a screen for the window. Told him what happened and have him the room number. No one showed to put in a screen. Toilet seat had 4/5 burn marks in it. Exhaust fan had bearing going out. Sink had big crack in it. Carpet stained and dirty. Beds were like sleeping on a box spring. Worse place we have ever stayed in.

I feel price was inflated due to the air show.Posted Aug 6, 2013
Pros: Close to interstate and other services.
Cons: Upgrade air conditioning unit. Very noisy. Have coffee pot with coffee and a hair dryer.
Location: Barnes and Nobles bookstore, Walmart, mall, restaurants nearby.
Continental breakfast was sparse and in very small lobby with 2 small tables with 2 chairs. Everyone else had to stand.

Even though I was a little skeptical when we first arrived (they even have keys to the room) we were surprised that our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Country USA was that weekend so rooms were high and not alot was available that night so we ended up here. The staff was very friendly however the breakfast was horrible.

Road Star Inn in AppletonPosted Oct 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
The place practically screamed "DUMP" from the unpaved parking lot to the filthy entrance. The guy at the desk was very friendly and welcoming, but this was about the only positive. It was WAY overpriced. The room we were given at first had not been made up, the bathroom was dirty, the beds unmade and bags of garbage in the room. It was freezing cold, and when I tried to turn off the air-conditioning, the knob came off in my hand. We were given another room with no trouble when we complained, and that one was fine, except the hot and cold water were reversed in the tub. The "continental breakfast" was a few doughnuts and some very bad coffee. Unfortunately this was the only place available in Appleton, since I had made reservations way too late, and it was family weekend at Lawrence. I won't make that mistake again.
