Paradise foundPosted Nov 8, 2013
Apulit Island is beautiful for total relaxation. We loved that there were no jet skis or motorised water sports... It keeps the island peaceful. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. Food was absolutely amazing! We fell in love with the place. Our only complaint was that the bed was way to hard. Much like sleeping on the floor. Besides that, heaven on earth.

Island paradise - Please educate tourist! - coralPosted Oct 21, 2013
Cons: PLEASE -educate tourist in ALL languages. Standing on coral - is NO! Laminate multi-language info sheet to protect coral on islands for future please.
A perfectly pristine, exotic location! Lot's to do! We loved it! Family of 4. PLEASE educate the tourist in all languages about the fragility of the coral reef. We had tourist on our island tour, (reef snorkel) who were touching and standing on the coral. Language/ communication was a barrier. I recommend creating a laminated (water proof) educational tool in ALL major languages that FIRMLY tells the snorkelers NOT to touch or stand on the coral. Please preserve this paradise for future generations! We LOVED Alpuit and hope to go back some day!!! It really is the most beautiful destination I have ever enjoyed!

Like a dreamPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a beautiful stay in this eco-friendly resort by the sea. The staff was absolutely charming, and waking up to the sound of the waves is a memorable experience. Hotel wifi could be better, but an overall dream-like memory.

Amazing EscapePosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: The attentive staff in providing everything a guest might need or want.
Cons: Needed more activities in the night when there is no TV in the room. Maybe movie screening etc.
Location: it was private and safe. totally worth the long travelling distance.
one of the best hotel i've ever stayed in. The staff provided excellent and attentive service, the food was very fresh and good, and the resort was haven. it was a memorable holiday and i would want to return again, despite the long travel from Puerto Princesa to Taytay.

Beautiful, but remotePosted Jul 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
My fiancee and I spent 4 days/3 nights at Apulit Island resort and overall we were very happy with our stay. The only reason I did not rate them a "5" overall was due to the fact it is VERY remote; if you want to "get away from it all" this is the place to go, as there is no TV/cable or wireless internet in any of the rooms, although wireless is available at the bar or in the restaurant. The staff is unfailingly friendly, courteous, and professional. The lack of a TV may not sound like much at first, but when you go back to your room at the end of the day it would be nice to watch a movie or catch at least the news headlines; that is not available at all. Secondly, Apulit Resort is the only facility on the island; there are no shops (sari-sari), restaurants, bars, etc to visit. If you want to do any shopping or eat elsewhere you need to take the 1-hour (minimum) boat ride back to Taytay poblacion (town market). In their favour, Apulit will assign an "activities coordinator" if you want to do any island hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, and the like. Bottom line - its a beautiful location, the room was clean (though small), with hot water, air conditioning and ceiling fan, and it also opened up onto a nice veranda over the water. It also has a very friendly staff who will do anything to assist you during your stay. However, the remoteness and lack of amenities may be a drawback to some (it was to us). Would we go back again? Hmmm....
