Aqaba Visit

Pros: I loved the location and amenities.
Cons: The hallways needed cleaning.
Location: There was a nice beach, local shopping,evening entertainment, and Wadi Rum just 1hour away.
I ended up staying 3 nights at the Movenpick and was delighted with the service and facilities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was cozy and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed the beach and hot tub two mornings and found the breakfast buffet good. I would stay again.

Nice hotel and staff but very bad cleaning service

The reception staff where nice but the cleaning service for the 3 bedroom suit that I had on the 6th floor was terreble, to the extent that we had to do the cleaning ourselves during our vacation.

Loved this hotel

This was my first visit to Aqaba Jordan, I was impressed with the city, staying is this hotel made my visit complete. Extremely friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating, the life guards in the pool was so alert and vigilant, that was very important for me since I have 2 little ones. I would recommend this hotel for a friend and I am looking forward to comeback.

The best stay ever!

Pros: The location, the facilities, the good food and the spacious areas!
Cons: --
Location: There are lots to do around, a walk in the old town, Tala Bay resorts, Wadi Rum, Petra and some historical areas around the area!
It was a great stay at Movenpick Aqaba, upon check-in I was surprised with a free upgrade to their Executive Suite which made it an even better stay!

Nice hotel in Aqaba

Private beach was nice but the "heated pool" was freezing so we went to use the ones in Moevenpick Talia bay. Their pools were amazing and the free shuttle bus made it very easy. Lovely breakfast buffet, hotel within walking distance to local restaurants and shops. Staff very friendly.

Everything was amazing. Beautiful resort with great water activities, restaurants and location. Rooms and hotel itself was spotless.One of the best things about it was definitely the staff. Very very friendly, helpful and friendly again. Would recommend to anyone.

Stay at Tala Bay instead!

Cons: Location wrong for us - this is not a beach hotel, it is in a port and city centre Stay at the Tala Bay hotel - went there for the day and its lovely
Location: Walking distance to the main parts of Aqaba, though I would not bother going
This review is aimed at people after a relaxing beach break by the Red Sea. This hotel is in the middle of the city, its tiny beach is in the middle of the port. We found out from a dive shop (and are eternally grateful to the lady there!) that you can share the facilities of the Tala Bay beach resort with the Movenpick - with a free shuttle bus - and it is very close to where the snorklelling and diving are. This enabled us to escape to what we wanted for the whole day, though we couldnt change the hotel to sleep at the other one. The hotel pictures are very deceptive - the bridge part is literally over the main road and the place is noisy and full of traffic. It was very busy and is clearly a hotel aimed at locals who are on a break and want to remain in the town. That is obviously absolutely fine - bit it is not what we wanted, especially as the town is nothing special. The hotel at Tala Bay was spot on - again, it does depend what you want. We were upgaded to a suite, though its balconies overlooked a car park, the main road and a barren bit of ground covered with rubbish. The tiled floor was also very dusty and clearly had not been cleaned for some time, making your feet black in a short time. The noise made it hard to sleep. The staff were friendly but were not forthcoming with information: the ability to go to the other hotel for free when explaining what we wanted; how to book snorkelling and where was good to go and the facilities of the hotel.
